What style(s) are these rugs?
Comments (8)Yes, the bottom one is very William Morris looking. I love them both. The Arts and Crafts style, imo, is a perfect look for a cabin or cottage. My DGPs, after DGF retired, sold their city home and moved to their summer cottage. They had everything decorated in Arts and Crafts style. Their furniture was so cozy and their living room was all knotty pine with massive beams in the ceiling. I loved being in their cottage and spent many happy weeks there fishing and boating with my DGF....See Morehelp what color furniture to get and what style?
Comments (8)samantha, congrats with your new home. 1, your tv should be moved off the fireplace. it will hurt your neck most do not recommend sectionals they are difficult to work with and often often do not provide as much space as you like. lastly the style really does not match the the setting of your home. if you still feel this is best for you, we will be happy to work around it for you. I just wanted you to think a bout it, because sometimes people think that they want one thing but once they get it, they always feel something is missing. talk soon. remember it should all be fun!...See MoreWhat style and from what era is this furniture?
Comments (5)I can't say for certain but it looks as though it is Colonial Revival. We had a sofa that was a bit like that which dated from the 1950's. There were foam cushions which sat on wood slat supports - wasn't the most comfortable piece of furniture :-). Because furniture like this was made during during many decades, it's difficult to date without looking at construction - Colonial Revival was also popular prior to WW II. FWIW, grandmothers sometimes bought new furniture so just because a piece was owned by a grandmother doesn't mean that she bought it when she was 20. Conversely, a grandmother could have bought something used which was made before she was born :-)....See MoreI’m trying to figure out my decor style—what style is this pic?
Comments (4)The photo looks like musician/audiophile style! That photo is styled/posed ... in real life the couch will have squished/lumpy seat cushions and uneven back cushions. Do you like to have to fluff and straighten up cushions constantly? Make sure you sit on any couch that you are considering....See MoreAnnie Deighnaugh
