Compromise. Install the old one. If you don't like it, order the new one. Luckily, it's not a permanent decision. The sink is a more permanent decision. Get what you like.

That Grohe Ladylux Plus that you have has been re-issued in a more current version, the Grohe Ladylux3 Plus #33893. It comes in 3 finishes. The polished chrome is the least expensive at $300. I much prefer the function and feel of a pull-down. I tried pull-outs in the store and really didn't like the hand/wrist feel.

Pull down with a magnetic dock so it doesn't start to dangle down after awhile. My Delta is somewhat similar to your choice:

friedajune - thanks for that link. I think if I were going to get another Grohe - I'd go with their pull down, like the Concetto. But I can't justify that price.

Home Depot sells the Kohler - I think I'll bring it home and look at it in person. I can always return it.

we have Hansgrohe Talis C and its been great., installed over 4 years and not nary a problem....i can't remember the price, but i think it was around $400?? but not really sure...

Really? I didn't realize that. Do the manufacturers make two different quality fixtures, but use the same model number?

We bought the Bellera on Amazon - definitely was under $300, and closer to $200 I think. I much prefer the pull down - it's incredibly easy to use and the magnetic lock keeps it in place. Spray function creates a linear not circular spray - it splashes a bit but great for spraying down pans or the sink. Agree with keeping the old one would be very reasonable though and you can always switch if it stops working or you don't like it.

I used to have a pull out, but then I got the Hansrohe Centro they frequently put on sale at Costco (roughly $180). I love the pull down so much more, there is no going back. The pull out required multiple motions before you could direct the spray where needed, and then to return. The pull down is quicker and much more effortless to use, and return, in comparison.

I have had both. I prefer pull down with a magnet.

If the model number is identical, the item is identical. If the item no. Varies at all, by one letter or digit, it is different (the differences may be minor)

I much prefer pull downs. I feel that they are easier to use and they look better. An added bonus is that the arc on them is higher which makes washing huge pots easier. Most of the pull out faucets I've seen eventually sort of 'droop' where the wand connects to the base. I've used 3 different pull down styles now and I've liked them all.

Another vote for pull down! I had the grohe in our last house. In our new house I put in a cheaper pull down and definitely prefer it.
