I want your supper, Sue. But since I don't have Steak and Shake anywhere near me, I'll settle for my own home cooking. Tonight was a bowl of homemade vegetable soup and a chicken patty.

My oldest daughter and my two granddaughters took me out for dinner a bit early for mothers day. I'll be out of town for a wedding so we met tonight. Had prime rib and baked potato. Yummy

Old fashioned tuna salad; Robert made a couple of sandwiches and I had Bibb lettuce wraps. I had some fresh dill to add, just a smidgen.

We went out for Chinese today....it was good and I have another meal waiting in the refrigerator.

"ToGo's"......great sandwiches to go....going....gone!

Hubby got each of us an Italian sub. It was delicious.

boneless pork chop with sauteed onions and red pepper

Chicken beast stuffed with spinach and jack cheese, spinach salad on the side.

Grilled pork tenderloin (made a rub and coated with S&P) smothered with caramelized onions in a balsamic gastrique.

Pureed cauliflower (Parmesan, cream cheese, butter).

Sauteed swiss chard and beet greens.

Lemon pudding cakes for dessert. These are more like pudding on bottom and souffle on top.

We are visiting family in Massachusetts. They had bought a whole beef tenderloin and I was asked to help get it ready to grill. I remembered having read just that morning a recipe for a spice rub for steak in a magazine I brought with me on the plane.

I found the magazine, and found the recipe, which was titled "coffee spice rub". They didn't have all of the ingredients that the recipe called for, but had most of them, and the results were pretty darn good. I also made a mushroom sauce to top the steaks and a vegetable lo-mein side dish and a mixed green salad.
