What do you use to pick up dirt when using dust mop/
Comments (12)Kim, you might want to consider buying a central vac hose that is designed for quick pickups. It is 9 feet long but can be stretched to 27 feet. Also, you can have a quick sweep installed into your central vac system after the system is already in your house. Someone here had posted a link to a really good site with lots of central vac specialty items. I will see if I can find it....See MoreDo you buy when you see it or wait till you need it?
Comments (10)Hi all. I usually just lurk here but had to chime in with my story. I was at Goodwill last week and saw an absolutely beautiful rattan desk that just caught my breath. There were other people looking at it but they drifted away. I stood and looked at it and then made myself move away from it. Did I have a place for it? Would it fit in my car? Would I be able to get it out of the car? On and on the questions came and in the end I left without it. When I got home I checked ebay to see if there was anything like it and immediately the regret came. There are similar (but not as nice) desks selling for 500.00 and up. Still kicking myself-and yes it is gone. The price? 40.00. Satine...See Morebuying cabinets from KD vs. directly from cabinet manufacturer
Comments (1)It doesn't sound like the co-op KD spent very much time on your design. Don't feel guilty about asking for a quote and then not using them. A kitchen renovation is a big investment and you want to make sure that your money is well spent. I got 6 quotes in all, and I'm really glad I did. You're in Boston? I live in Southern NH, and I found a huge range in prices from one cabinet source to the next. By the way, why not post your design here and ask for advice from the resident layout experts? I'm so grateful that some people here on the forum pointed out a couple problems with my layout before I ordered my cabinets. Good luck!
