Mango tree planted too deep

Hello all,

I have a young grafted mango tree which I planted about 10 months ago, and it has grown to about 5 1/2 foot tall. It bloomed but didn't grow fruit, and after that it has started growing branches all over. It's currently doing well.

The problem is that I wasn't careful when I dug the whole it is in. The root flare is under the soil level, about 4-5 inches, and was covered by soil without me paying attention. I just noticed that and when I cleaned out the root flare, I noticed the tree is already growing one small adventitious root.

I would like to extract the tree from where it's at and replant it where it is, but elevated enough so that I don't have to regularly clean out the root flair. I prefer a permanent solution rather than me regularly cleaning out the roots (specially during rainy season - I'm in South Florida.)

Any suggestions how to go about this without hurting the tree? I will try to post a picture when I get home.

Thanks.
