Happy May Day.

The garden was checked today...and a few things of interest "cropped" up. (haha)

This is only the second year I've grown potatoes. I seem to have blossoms on the potato plants. This is a good thing....?

The two asparagus beds have ten crowns each. In one bed, seven have come up. In the other bed, only four have come up. They were planted mid-March. Many/most of the plants seem to have little green "berries" on them. Are these male plants? Or do the blossoms start out as little green, round balls before opening into a flower? One bed is Jersey Giant and the other is Mary Washington. Should I pull them out and buy some female only crowns? (I really didn't know what I was doing when I purchased the crowns.) Or leave them alone and let them make babies.

One other thing for now...

I seem to have aphids on my indoor grow light peppers. Why?! Should I capture a couple of ladybugs and bring them indoors or try something else? The seedlings still look good as of now.
