adenium socotranum? ??
Comments (10)It was Arid Lands Nursery. We visited another one in Tucson (owner is one of the co-authors of the book with Mark Dimmitt). This one is called Plants of the Southwest. Arid Lands Nursery had row and rows of seedlings at the time (arabicum, somalense, socotranum and different crosses). I purchased a boehmianum from Plants of the Southwest hoping it would grow to look like the one they had on display. It was huge! :) Spent hours looking at adeniums that day. Here are some pics. Comments (14)Damn Tom,you got the eye. Mine right now is leafless. In a ugly pot,but the plant in times past has flowered. Its got a nice sort of ergonomic trunk? Or Picasso woman shape?. Indoors until spring. Its just a pest magnet indoors. Outdoors,no real problems except not as much heat as it likes. The bay area is not Arabia in summer. I thought about using a lava rock hollowed out as a planter..maybe get the base to swell more.Anybody tried that? Or limestone?,what I see photos of them growing on in habitat.
