anyone used Lowe's for remodeling a bathroom?
Comments (4)I'm afraid that might be a nightmare. Bathrooms can actually be more complex than a kitchen remodel. Lowes are not general contractors! I would only buy things in stock from them....I would not trust them to run a large ongoing project! Once the designer at Lowes sells the job....he's done and you then have to work with someone else. A small business, kitchen and bath dealer would be your next best bet after a General Contractor. OR be your own GC. You would need to hire: -carpenter (cabinets, ventilation, installing cabinets/tops) -plumber (buy your products from him....he will know what he needs) -drywaller? -electrician -tile setter, if doing tile -You'd probably need permits for electrical and plumbing....See MoreDo you like your chandelier in your bathroom?
Comments (6)i put a chandy in our master bath and i love it! looks elegant... the chandy i chose is a 5 arm chandy...didn't even think about the odd # of lights when i chose it and i understand what your friend means by 'lopsided' (although i don't think i've seen any 3 armed, the issue partially is the odd # i think...)-- every once in awhile, depending on the angle i look at our light it does look slightly off kilter...but only from cerain angles.....but i'm used to a 6 arm in the kitchen and an 8 arm in the dining room, so maybe it depends on what you're used to seeing......See MoreDo not use Lowe's for bathrooms or kitchens
Comments (2)I didn't read your whole post, it would be easier to read if you create paragraphs. Have you posted a complaint on their FB page? Unfortunately, things like this happen. I would never have a big box store install anything. It truly is 50/50. Although that is being generous. I only know those who have issues, just not as extensive as yours. Thanks for posting. Sorry you are going through this....See MoreHas anyone used LVT in master bathroom or any other bathroom?
Comments (5)O.K. so I said "luxury vinyl" no way ever. Used this in a small bathroom and love it. Many of the very upscale homes in this area are are using luxury vinyl in baths. This one has a super nice attached underlayment, a nice textured surface, and is so much warmer feeling than ceramic tile... you may be thinking more tile than plank... but thought I'd throw it out there :) Good luck on your decision! https://www.lowes.com/pd/SMARTCORE-Ultra-8-Piece-5-91-in-x-48-03-in-Blue-Ridge-Pine-Luxury-Locking-Vinyl-Plank-Flooring/1000196679...See Morenicole___
