It's near the top of the burgeoning "must have" portion of my constantly growing "wish list"! My dream would be to have enough space and enough light to have one of every hippeastrum variety, and more than one of the varieties I really like! Of course, it's only a dream... as it is, I am finding that I need to be a bit more picky in the varieties I choose as I'm running out of space to keep all of my bulbs happy! If they were all miniatures, I'd have plenty of room... but many of the hybrids are so big, and the leaves grow so tall and long, that I am having trouble finding appropriate places to keep them all! San Remo will be one I collect, though... Cindee has had such a wonderful time with hers, and it's so beautiful, that I just must have it! Plus, it appears to be extremely fertile, and that's a consideration. I almost wish some of these were ugly... it would make keeping the collection to a manageable size a lot easier! I'm at over 45 bulbs, and counting! We still have the summer Aussie order coming up, and that will net about 6 more bulbs... and I have 1 bulb on order right now... and I just got 5 bulbs recently... it's becoming more of an obsession than an addiction, or is it an obsessive addiction? I don't know... I just know I'm in deep, and I must gain some control at some point so I don't end up with so many plants that I can't care for them all properly!

Wow... there are several countries like that... I think that's one of the reasons people flock here on work permits... so they can make a better salary! I'm pretty sure that America has some of the highest salaries, and costs, in the world... When I was 16, I made well over a hundred dollars a week, and that was part time work... I also went to school... and that was a long time ago, too!

Very lovely!! I remember seeing this one when you posted it last year. After seeing yours last year, I tried the cross of Bogota x Sweet Lilian hoping that my flowers might resemble yours in some way, with the light pink, as I didn't have a San Remo to work with. Several more years to wait... Donna

I like the shape of the first flower because it retains more of Bogota's cybister qualities, but I like the colors of the second flower. Both are lovely.
