yayagal - you will have to let me know how you like the lamp. I am still considering it, altho, I think I'd prefer a ceramic lamp. This search has been very frustrating and way too time consuming. I was in Target today to pick up a few things and took a quick look at lamps. I came home with what I think is a good size and shape, but I am not crazy about the color. It is a mustard color, despite what it looks like in the pictures I am attaching. Any thoughts on this lamp? BTW, neither of the shades I used in the pictures are exactly right. Both are shades from other lamps here at home. with flash -- the color is showing a little brighter than IRL, but it is a mustard color without the flash -- if the color IRL was more like this, I could live with it, but it's not My favorite is still the 4th one I posted yesterday at 19:06, but it's been years since I found it on line and still can't find it anywhere.

For what it's worth...........I've done the SW $5 quart in other brands too. Is it the same? Well, I think that if you are completely set on having the absolutely positively exactly the same not even a hairsbreadth of difference in shade right color...........then, no........mixing in another brand to test the quart will not 100% be accurate. And even from gallon to gallon, when you have your paint mixed, the experts say there can be a tiny smidgeon of difference. That's why they recommend mixing some of your gallons in a larger container to paint. And here's what I say....If you painted a wall in Ben Moore's Concord Ivory and went back to finish it in a match by Sherwin Wms........you will have a problem. It will look almost the same, but the difference will be visible. If you painted the wall in BM Concord Ivory and went back to 'touch up' a spot you nicked with a chair, but you use a special BM quart that you bought just for touchups, you may even have a slight difference. However, if you are thinking that a quart of paint mixed to try will give you a WAY big difference from how that paint will look on your walls...........then, no. It is going to look like your test quart. And even a $5 test qt. from SW will probably tell you what you need to know if you really put that paint on the wall...........don't skimp. Use it up. Red

Glad to hear you like them--'cause I do! I think the rose and green fabrics photographed a bit darker than IRL because I took the pic at night. The rose fabric was suggested by the CC designer I'm working with--not sure if you can tell but the little "dots" have both the gold and green in it which are the core colors of my palate. I did not notice in the store, though she remarked on it. Here's a close up of the fabric in question: brususes: The floral fabric (and all the fabrics) are from Calico Corners. It's Juliet Cream, SKU # 847JULICRE Thanks for the complement about my decorating abilities. I equate choosing fabric to choosing granite--you just need to keep searching until you find the one you love. I started working with an Interior Designer who put together a "collected look" for me--only it wasn't my look so I started looking at fabrics on my own at CC. Even though I've been muddling through the whole process myself, these are fabrics and colors that I love--and it sure helped to have this forum give plenty of advice and ideas to point me in the right direction. Appreciate also the feedback on our floorplan. The issue of having it feel open is also my concern with #1, though I do like the look of the armchairs to either side of the fireplace. I'm leaning towards #2--though squirrelhaven brought up a good point about how the colors work together. I'm sure once the furniture is there one or the other floorplans will feel right--and then I'll be sure to post here for addtional decorating advice, regarding art, etc. Lastly, my best to all of you for a Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks for all the votes! It seems like the rectangular #1 or #5 in an oval (or maybe even round) are the front runners right now. Those are probably my front runners, too. I found another furniture store in the area that has the first table shown on their website, so I may try to get over there and take a look at the finish. I just am very reluctant to order such a large item on the internet and then have to return it!! One of my thoughts, tho, about using a rectangular coffee table is that the sofa is basically a rectangle and the rug is a rectangle, so I thought something round or oval would be better. I am totally open to changing the round, pedestal side table. I'm kinda ready for a change there as well. I have been looking on CL and so far, have come up with nothing. I'm also watching for something to come into the consignment shop where I volunteer. In the meantime, I'm going to visit a few more furniture stores and keep watching CL and consignment.
