Had such a fun day!
Comments (12)I loved reading what OA had to say--and not a person here seemed the least surprized that I found and gifted a tacky plaster cactus! LOL I just love it that this group is so open minded and always ready for a creative idea no matter how "off beat" ;o) I had originally gone looking for something to try to do a Levi table since I had nothing--found the little dog, then saw the cactus and thought maybe they'd go together. Then I heard from OA about getting together so went looking for something she might like and found the book. It seemed the perfect thing since she had mentioned having a barbecue and was so thrilled to see the poster insert and that it contained Route 66 recipes. It just made sense that the cactus and dog should go with the book! LOL And I've already been planning my rocking horse Christmas table for next year--it turns out that I have a musical rocking horse that will probably work as part of a centerpiece and I've got lots of time to figure out the rest! Yachter, yes I am so lucky to have gotten to meet a OA and Karen. I would just love it if we really could have a bus or stagecoach pick us ALL up for a fun day together! (And if our motor home ever gets close to your area--you know I'll be calling you to come meet up with me!) Punk, according to my friend/neighbor, we get a "birthday month"! ;o) I certainly had a wonderful birthday WEEK, shopping for my new Cricut with DH on Monday, movie day with DH on Tuesday, Karen's post about my birthday and all the special wishes and greetings from all of you on my birthday morning, dinner and dessert with DS and family the evening of my birthday, getting to meet OA on Thursday and then lunch and TS shopping with my two neighbor gals yesterday. Couldn't ask for more--I'm a happy camper! ;o) Luvs...See Moremy recent shopping finds
Comments (12)Karen, looks like you had a good day shopping. The lg eggs are so pretty. Really like the valentine candle holder and Big Hershey Kiss. I have a lg hershey kiss like that in an aqua color. The shamrock is very nice and will look great for St Pats. Looks like you can hang it. You wrapped up several Holidays in one shopping spree.Woohoo Rabbit figurines are so "You" and lovely. I know you won't have any trouble finding a place for them. I've never seen anything like the little white vases you found but so darn cute. Breautiful picture of the sun shining in on your rabbit tureen and white pot you found last year. They are such pretty pieces and the purple posies just top it off. Glad to see Zorro again. We are watching DS's little yorkie for the weekend and she's always fun to have around. Comments (5)Thanks, guys! I've had a lot of fun with this technique. I've exhibited some, and given a couple away as baby gifts. They make nice wall decor for a nursery. The colors are determined by the background you choose. Mel, here are the instructions I used. Oil on Water Photographs I've seen some good results using gift wrap as the background. I paint my backgrounds on foam core. I recommend taking the pictures outdoors in bright sun. The process can be messy if you have a spill, so I'd rather not do it in the house. If you try this, anyone, please share your results!...See MoreMore PhotoShop fun
Comments (7)After I asked if you took it I thought I remembered you posting it before. It's a neat picture, but I agree that cropping and playing with it makes it much more "art" like. I'm going to check out Winkflash for printing some of my photography since I plan one making a couple gallery walls showcasing my folks and my photography and a family photo wall too....See Morewindymess z6a KC, Ks
