Today would have been my mom's 85th birthday. She passed away at age 58. Here is a pic of her with her cousin, she was a young teen I suppose here. She grew up in a logging town and this picture shows them standing on the logs in the river.

Comments (10)I had a huge hoya a few years ago.....too huge! It hung from a beam in an alcove with incredible SW, S, SE exposures from three windows. It would be covered with nearly a hundred blooms for several months. OMG, I grew to hate that chocolatey smell! 10 years agoThis is a picture of my dad in 1931. My mom took it with her Brownie camera. They had gotten married just a couple of months earlier. He would have been 109 this year!! I was asked about the bleached out part in the middle. The picture is 85 years old and it probably wasn't processed that well back in 1931.
