What type of weed and how do I get rid of it?

I've got this taller weed growing in my lawn and I'm not sure how to eradicate it. I've already sprayed a broadleaf herbicide which took care of everything else like crabgrass. This stuff has hung around though. I grew the lawn from seed so is it possible that maybe this is part of the variety of seed I have? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It looks like Poa T, rough bluegrass. I'll hold off on suggesting an herbicide until someone else can confirm as these are always tricky.

Yeah looks like Triv, which is tougher to remove. Where did you get your seed? Was it a sun shade mix? I read on another forum that Poa Triv is added for shade tolerance in some big box store brands.

Tenacity will whiten Poa Triv but not kill easily, I don't think.

Is that all you have? If yes dig it up with weed removal tool and get every last bit of root.

if you have turf type tall fescue do not use Certainty , you may need Velocity which recently became available for residential use.

Looks like annual bluegrass to me... http://www.msuturfweeds.net/details/_/annual_bluegrass_47/ I do not think there is an easy way to control it, other than pulling it by hand or waiting for it to die with the heat. It's some sort of grass. The exact type doesn't really matter. The Bermuda looks completely dormant in that picture. If so, the easiest way to kill the weeds would be to use glyphosate (brand name roundup). Glyphosate will only work on plants that are green. It's a nonselective weed killer, so it will kill anything green that it ends up on, but if the Bermuda is dormant, it won't take the glyphosate in and kill it.

For comparison, this is Glechoma hederacea growing at my house. 100% guarantee the ID of these pictures - I am an herbalist and do harvest this for herbal purposes. I tried to take a picture of a "patch" that was of similar character with close-ups for the OP to compare to. I do not see the "round objects" in the original photo but Glechoma hederacea do get galls in its stems that are very round. FataMorgana

they do not flower nor look like there would be any buds of any type. I am worried to pull as i've heard some of these invasive weed hyper activate/grow when their root is pulled. not sure if that is true or not. Thank you for your response though.

Thanks for the help. I do have a fescue type lawn so Certainty is not an option. Tenacity seems like something to try. It seems like some have had success with it weakening it. I have a lot of it so I doubt I can get all of them.

This is the mix I used. I do not think Poa T is in it intentionally. They said that they use 'Falcon IV', 'Dallas', and 'Summer' right now: http://www.naturesfinestseed.com/grass-seed/fescue-grass/triple-play-tall-fescue-seed-blend
