Gabi, I'v been stuck with a few trades that were not what I was told they were so I always try and find out what I have or at least to give it a good shot if I can't find a name then I will trade or sell it as a unknown but never as well it might be this or that I feel thats not the right way to do things I have lots of could be epies but until they have the right names there unkowns that goes for any of my hoyas or Rhipsalis or any other plant but that just me Bear

Thanks Denise I could not resist it. I found it at Walmart on my way to Las Vegas today. In fact I bought 2 because i liked the leaves. The Violet Barn has a picture of the wayetii but it looks varigated mine are all green. Do the flowers have a scent? Doesn't matter I was just excited and paid more than I should have but was so suprised to find them stuffed on the shelves that i grabbed them and took them home I am running out of windows. these are in 6 inch hanging baskets. I got started back into houseplants for Violets and someone mentioned hoyas I looked them up and now I have 4 in 8 weeks. from none to 22 house plants is really beginning to frighten my honey. I know 22 isn't a lot but for me it is something. thanks again for the pictures Ann

The first one is definitely a Kentiana. The second one looks like maybe Krinkle 8? And the bottom one to me looks like a variegated Compacta. Maybe it had rough time sometime in it's past and lost some leaves then? My all green one has a couple bald spots from when I would forget to water it or something and the leaves never grew back there. But it seems you must be doing something right with it now judging from all the flowers. Pretty flowers too :) HTH Jen

Yes Jen, mine is an EA hoya. I was very lucky to find one that was completely rootbound (not just a pot full of rooted cuttings!). The kentiana I had before this one sounds like what you are describing....it didn't grow AT ALL. About the light, you could be right....maybe it's getting enough light from the sides. Here are 2 pics of it. The first one was taken when the sun was shining bright (but you can see that the back has no light on it), and the second was taken at night with the blinds closed (you can see how the back of the plant has very dark margins). So again I'm wondering about how much of a role the light plays in those dark margins....Jen, maybe what you said about some having darker margins (with or without sun) is right - that's what I was initially thinking.
