What I've been working on these snowy days
Comments (11)luna, the eggs were plastic and some were wood. Most were those cheapy pastel plastic eggs you can buy in the Easter section right now. Kudzu, I have lots of rusty springs too, but they are the kind that are fat on one end and skinny on the other. Trying to decide what to do with them. Wish they were fat on both ends and skinny in the middle! You should post a picture of yours!...See MoreI've been working in the roses
Comments (11)Well, CTC, (Ariel, is it?) I would rather be working in the yard than the house anytime, so in that light it is fun. You are so much fun with your stories and rhymes. And Ginny, you are right with the "thorn"...How bout this Ariel, "It'd serve her right to get stuck in the thorns!" Girlgroupgirl, I'm sure the fence post would work for you...a good use for something that might otherwise just be in the way, and who couldn't use a few more birdhouses around. They just belong in the garden, don't they? Thanks, Adrienne, the paint is called "Boughs of Pine", and it is a Valspar paint from Lowe's. I have really enjoyed the colors on the shed. One sweet lady actually stopped to find out what the colors were so she could have her house painted those colors! I am sorry you can't grow the hybrid tea roses, because they are lovely in a vase. But you can probably grow the lupines and the delphiniums I lust over that won't grow in my heat. I really appreciate you looking and all of your comments on my post. kay...See MoreStools I've been eyeing are on sale. Do they work?
Comments (63)Francoise, Bee, Remodelfla, Library_girl, Prickly, Amy, Ladoladi, and Hlove--Your kind words touch me. I've read them over and over just so I could smile tonight. :-) CP--No worries! I think these are the types of questions more of us should be asking. Athensmom--The stools came with little protectors already on them. Mine are now covered in cat hair, despite my frequent sweepings, so I must reach down to clean them off. (grrr) I found some little disc protectors called Magic Sliders that I'll probably sub instead at some point. Doesn't look like the kitty hair will stick to them. Wolfgang--Great suggestion! It might keep my 2 y.o. from wanting to stand on them if she could get boosted up a bit higher while seated. Thanks for the idea! I just wanted to reiterate how much I like these stools. Every morning when I walk in the room, I notice how perfectly straight, proper, and at home they look. All my guests have loved them also. Good thing because I probably sit in them much less than anyone else. Here is a link that might be useful: Magic Sliders...See MoreHere's some of what I've been working on.
Comments (16)Thanks, all. Bluebars~ The shower curtain is just top & backing. I brought the backing around to the front so didn't even have borders/binding to deal with. The buttons serve as the 'quilting', though I did consider quilting bubbles or sea grass. Instead I just wanted it done. I did put stiff craft interfacing along the top to give substance while hanging. The holes are just button holes. My hangers don't even require me to take them down to remove so they just slipped through the button hole....See Moregeezerfolks_SharonG_FL
