I was going to recommend a certain shampoo, but.....
My hair looks great, and I hardly ever say that these days. I tried Garnier Fructis Full and Plush shampoo, and it actually did what it said it would do. (What a concept!) I didn't use the conditioner, just the shampoo, but the comb slipped through my wet hair like it was silk, and after styling it was perfect--thicker looking than usual, and soft.
BUT this morning I read some reviews. Many had similarly happy experiences, but a few people reported hair loss. Uh-oh . . . this happened to me when I tried Unilever's Clear shampoo. It's supposed to nourish your scalp (whatever that means), but it definitely made my hair fall out. I hope this doesn't happen with the Full and Plush.
I'm on doxycycline, which can cause burning of the hair roots if your head isn't covered when outdoors, so I'm being careful about that too.
But I know some of you have talked about thinning hair, so if you want to give Garnier's Full and Plush a try, I wish you luck. Proceed with caution. :-)

Comments (10)Ok so I called the only petstore that carries live worms and asked if they have any in the store. Yes, I was told, they have waxworms, but no mealworms. Fine, I take the half hour ride over there only to be told that they don't have any waxworms! UH OH, no way am I leaving that store without worms, not after calling and driving 1/2 hour. The manager told me also that they had no more. I told her she'd better find out who answered the phone and told me they had them. Well, they have lizards and turtles and birds in this store, so i suppose she took some from the store's supply for their animals. I didn't care at that point where she got them from but they are the most pathetic looking waxworms that I've ever seen. Anyway, i have my trap set out by the garden and I will put out these worms tomorrow morning to see if I can catch Blueboy and get him some help. I made my daughter promise to check the trap every hour while I'm at work just in case mama or papa decide to go in. All I can add to his post is to first check in your area what your service people carry for parts, and if they work on the LG/Samsung brands. I work on all FL'r machines, and they are all great, especailly the American Made FL'rs. The reason I say Especailly American Made is that I can get my parts for them in two days or less, and that is MOST parts. Now getting parts for out of country manufacturers is a intersting area that you should be concerned with. LG/Samsung are AT THIS TIME hard to get parts, they are cheaper than North American parts, but these units are as reliable as North American ones. Comments (2)I think it's difficult to come up with a general rule because stained wood looks so very different from the "natural" wood's color, and there a many, many hues of stains. Rather than look for a color guide, I recommend you select your desired wood hue, then look for the colors that best complement that shade and pattern of wood -- grains and burls in the wood will also affect the overall wood's color and appearance. If you're trying to combine color with existing wood, the same advice applies. Comments (19)As a vet, I can say truthfully that NO, vets do NOT get kickbacks from ANY pet food company. I personally don't recommend science diet except in certain instances. For example, end-stage kidney failure and severe liver disease might make me recommend either the Science Diet or Purina prescription diet for life. Short term, I've used s/d to dissolve bladder stones, but back to regular food once stones are dissolved. And very short term maybe an easily digestible food prescription diet for after a major abdominal surgery or severe GI disease. Other than those specific instances, I rarely use any prescription diets, and certainly not the Science Diet non-prescription foods. Even for food allergies, I prefer novel protein and carbohydrate diets such as Natural Balance vs prescription diets (except Royal Canin, which is good food, but we don't sell it) As far as how much food my own dogs get, I feed Eagle Pack Holistic Select, Natural Balance, or Solid Gold. My huskies (37-48 pounds) eat 1 cup of food a day each. My 65 pound VERY active rottie eats 3 cups a day. I'm sure if I fed Iams or Beneful or whatever they'd eat a LOT more. Of course the BEST food is natural whole food, like a raw diet or homemade cooked food. But most of us don't have the time or expertise to cook balanced meals for our pets. My sister is a stylist and at her recommendation I've always used Biolage by Matrix.. Though pricey, my hair responds to it really well to it including volume. I also like Redkin's products, they have a fairly new one out called Fashion Waves, it works on damp or dry hair and can help with texture and volume.
