Comments (1)Have not heard of it but here is a link to some pictures of it. Apparently it is the national flower of Bermuda. By 'drought tolerant,' do you mean that you are not willing to water the lawn on a weekly basis? If so, then you are looking for a non traditional (pasture type) grass or a variety of the buffalo hybrids. It could be that blue eyed grass is just what you are looking for. Comments (8)It's not really clear or close enough to make a positive ID but I get the impression that your blue-eyed grass might be approximately 1/2 of that clump, maybe from 5 to 10 o'clock if I'm looking at that clump like a clock, with grass and violets growing in the other half. There is something that looks like it might be a flower bud developing at around 8:30 but it could be just two blades of grass together. Comments (3)The 'was it a mistake' part is obvious. Only time will tell if it survives, its not going to look good this year, that much is for sure. You will have to wait and see what comes up from the roots next year to know. Rule of thumb, never move a grass when its forming stalks or is blooming, do it when the plant's energy is focused on roots and leaves....See Morebea (zone 9a -Jax area)
