LOL Mama...Great minds think alike. Our Target did not have the variety you found, nor was there a shelf tag for it. They only carried the Odor Rescue. I wonder if they one you snapped a pic of, is just regular Tide Boost pods? I noticed ALL of the old package of Tide Boost were marked 50% off and was on a shelf labeled Discontinued, All Sales Final.

I wonder what variety the "Brights + White Rescue" is replacing. I've used the original Tide Boost pods and they work extremely well on stains and whitening, but smell absolutely disgusting. I've never bought the F/G Boost pods or the ones marked "with the power of bleach" so I can't comment on the fragrance of those. Mama, I think you need to try these Bright + White boost pods and report back! :)

So in other words I'm the guinea pig for these new Tide pods...I rather think I like the idea!! Haha. next trip to the store I will pick up a pack...now to choose something with heavy stains..white...maybe I should just prepare a white flour sack towel for the very scientific study...mustard, tomato sauce, chocolate, mud, a dash of olive oil and last but not least..BLUEBERRIES....I will prepare the cloth sometime today and post a pic..and these stains will sit until I can get to the store. This is rather not fair to P&G since these stains all have dye in them but still will be interesting.

Now I must do my hair, I can not laze around all day looking like a hag.

I was telling Larsi this morning that we had friends over for dinner and board games last night. One of our cats is very affectionate and was getting his nose in on the game and BAM, down went a full glass of red wine on the dining room rug. I grabbed every white kitchen towel I had to blot up the stain and treat it. The rug is fine, but I woke up to 12-13 kitchen towels with dried red wine stains on them. They are in the wash right now. I did a cool pre-wash with Persil Universal and STPP, and main 158F wash right now with the same powder as well as a Tide Boost Awful Fragrance pod. I'll be shocked if they come out anything less than pristine.

I've got hipster messed-up hair going on right now. I've been letting it grow out so I wake up with some pretty bad a$$ bedhead.

I've had the original Tide Boost pacs for some time. Today I ordered three new varieties: Victory Sport, Tide Boost Free Duo Pacs, and Tide Boost Stain Release plus Bleach.

These are all the original incarnations -- not those that have been just recently renamed. Look forward to seeing the results of MamaP's testing in the other thread and also comparing these with the Boost pacs (awful fragrance) I already have.

Alex do your Tide boost paks say Vivid on the front of the package? I think there were two..the Vivid than the one that came out after that..see if you can spot them in this pic

You can't see here but they say Vivid White..and they smelled absolutely heavenly..too bad they were discontinued.

They won't arrive until Wednesday but I don't believe they have the word "vivid" in them, just "plus Bleach." I had e-mailed P&G about these some time ago and they told me only the name changed, but we know how that goes. I won't be surprised if they smell totally foul. At least I'll have the Victory Sport and the F/G varieties if they are bad.

I actually liked the scent of the tide + bleach booster pods, the ones with the chamber of blue liquid. Paired w tide w bleach liquid or powder, the whites were amazing. I stopped using them because I thought they were making my daughters excema worse. But that wasn't it. Just never got them again. Now i want to try these new ones. Saw the whites and brights rescue pods in target over the weekend too, but didn't buy yet.

Good to hear, Miami :) And when I finally get to sending you your package (omg... get on it, Alex!) I'll send some of these pacs to you, even though they aren't in the new packaging.

I think the original Tide/bleach boost pods were discontinued in 2012.perhaps if Tideman sees this he can straighten it out. But remember P$G has had a lot of *originals* lol

Take Tide for example, many folks here refer to lets call it **Larsi's Tide* LOL as being the original scent Tide, but there was another original Tide scent, up until the early, (I think 1972) when P$G got it in their heads to reformat Tide and changed its original scent to Larsi's original Scent Tide. I'm sure there are a few of us on this board that can remember the awesome and wonderful scent of the #1 original scent of Tide.

This probably has to do with ones age, in my age group the original scented Tide was taken from me in the 70's...some of you younger ones will remember Larsi's Tide as being the original.

So where was I going with these thoughts...I haven't the foggiest..LOL

I remember my Mom and Grandma talking about the "original" Tide powder scent, before my Tide "Larsi's Tide" :) If I remember correctly it smelled more herbal, and closer to Oxydol or Persil powder.

The Tide I used in the 80's up until they changed it (was it Jan. 2012 or Jan. 2014?) was softer and more powdery, but not sweet.....but it prob smells sweet, compared to 60's and 70's Tide.

OMG....some of us are OLD. We are nostalgic for 1970's and 1980's laundry powders! Sick people we are. S I C K!!!! Lmao!!!

The last time I used Tide boosters in the Victory scent was when Larsi sent them to me, I remember the scent of them nagged at my memory, reminded me of something else, but couldn't figure it out..tonight when I opened my bag of Victory it hit me full in the face..the scent of the Victory is a dead ringer, its exactly the same scent as Mexican Ariel. I opened my canister of Ariel and sniffed them both...exactly the same.

Mich run out and pick up a bag of the Tide booster paks in Victory scent..I can't believe how long it took me to figure this out considering I use Ariel often enough.. and I don't mean it resembles Ariels scent or smells similar..its an exact match. So P$G must be using the same chemically formulated perfume for both..unbelieveable it took me so long to figure this out.

So glad I won't have to order what the dh calls his "stinky pods" from Amazon anymore. Man, do those things work! I bless Larsi every time I unload the the dh's laundry from the dryer. (Nothing is as disheartening as unloading what should be like fresh laundry from the dryer, only to discover it still has a sweat-stink smell to it.)
