Chickweed and Sedge Issue

justinva

I overseeded last fall without using a pre-M. My mistake and I have to live with it. (I did not know about Tenacity at the time). Chickweed came in strong in November, then seemed to stall over the winger and seems to now be spreading more this spring. And now I seem to be have some type of sedge grass coming up in places.

I put down Dimension March 1 and will reapply again around the end of April. I just sprayed the lawn this past weekend with 2-4D for the chickweed (some spot spray, but a good bit of broad area spraying), so I'm hoping for good results within a week on the chickweed.

After researching, it looks like Quinclorac is recommended for the sedge grass. Do I have to wait some time after spraying the 2-4D for the chickweed or can I use Quinclorac now? The sedge is not widespread, so I'll mostly spot spray, but cannot guarantee I won't get some on surrounding turfgrass.
