Yep. Another Kansan rooting for K.U. and W.S.U. like jewels :-). I felt sorry for our daughter yesterday when K.U. and Austin Peay played because she attended K.U. and got her post graduate degrees from Austin Peay, but she's a Jawhawk through and through. I also like the Gonzaga Bulldogs just because I like to say Gonzaga (LOL).

Duke! Duke! and N.C. Loved the Gulf Coast Eagles team who were defeated by NC last night. They tried so hard! Also find Kentucky interesting. I am an SEC person who lived in the ACC region for many years and still like those teams.

Miss_sistersue.....Roy Williams, coach at NC, was the coach at KU for many, many years before our present Bill Self. A KU/NC final would be very interesting!

Big hoopla here on Maui for the University of Hawaii's Rainbow Warriors, who one their first regional game today. Hawaii has some gorgeous kane (men). Sadly, many a beautiful wahine 'spreads out' past her teens.

For the first time in my life, I might have to watch it. A local player who went to our neighbouring high school (Canada) got recruited for UK Wildcats! He's their top player which is pretty exciting. Go Jamal Murray!!!

I'm not a fan since I don't have TV reception to begin with, but I like the at-work competition we've got going to pick the winning teams. If I were actually to follow sporting events, it would be this one, though (and many of the events at the Olympics).

BTW , what's a Jawhawk/Jayhawk? I don't know any school nicknames except Fighting Irish (I went to grad school there) and Bobcats (I live in CT).

A "Jayhawk" is a big blue bird with a crimson head and a big yellow beak and yellow shoes....an "imaginary" type of bird. I am sure you could Google and ask for a picture or a Kansas University Jayhawk and see it.

Please keep me posted how the Kentucky Wildcats (and Jamal Murray) did/are doing. This is a great thread.

Sorry to say, Kentucky lost yesterday to Indiana....but I did watch Murray play.

Glad to say, my KU Jayhawks are going to Sweet 16...and anxious to see if we will be playing Maryland or Hawaii.
