Hockey is one of the few sports I enjoy watching. Sharks territory here but I don't really get behind team fandom. Impressive skills are impressive skills regardless of which team, player or competitor has them.

Exactly. I'd rather watch a good game. Enjoying the last of it until September.

I enjoy ice hockey and although we now live in Flyers territory I still root for my hometown team - Pittsburgh Penguins. We had season tickets to the Flyers for several years but it's so much better to watch in person. But we gave them up when the kids went to college - 41 homes games were just too much.

I agree the hockey season is too long! So is the NBA. I caught some updates in the background this morning and thought, "They're still playing basketball?"

Saying that, I was rooting for the Blues.

That was fun. I love hockey. I was really surprised when I heard game 7 was on. I was like, in JUNE? I guess that is too long.

Not a fan, but I live in St Louis. I did not watch any of the games, but for the last two I could tell when a good play was made or goal was scored because I'd hear car horns honking and a big cheer emanating from the tavern 2 blocks away. When the play off was won, fireworks erupted everywhere. I got a kick out of the big fireworks display over the parking lot of the nearby big grocery store. It was quite impressive for an impromptu display. Oh, I had also driven by a screen print and embroidery shop while the last game was just starting. Normally that shop is closed at 5pm but I could see they had the lights on, ready to churn out tens of thousands of t-shirts should the Blues win. Well, the shop employees got their overtime. Most funny to me is that people are still driving down the street with their windows down blasting out the rally song, "Gloria".

I used to live in St Louis and well remember when they got the hockey franchise. Everyone paid great attention to what they wore to the games - it was a place to "see and be seen". We sometimes were lucky enough to get the bank's tickets (1st husband was a banker).

So, I'm not a hockey fan, but I sure am a St Louis Blues fan!!! People in St Louis are the best fans ever, be it the Blues or the Cards. They love their teams.

I'm thrilled that they finally won the Stanley Cup. Great boost for a city I still love and still think of as "home", 37 years after moving.

My dh is from St. Louis and a big Blues and Cardinals fan. On the other hand, my son is a big Boston fan so it was another showdown between Boston and St. Louis. My son was a good sport. He even bought my dh a shirt for Father's Day off of Etsy that has the Blues and the Cardinal's logo on the front.

I live in Canuck territory and now that the Blues have won (well done, Blues!) we are now one of two teams that haven't won the Stanley Cup and I'm not holding my breath for a win any time soon.

But hey - What about those Raptors!
