Oh, goodness. How can I save these plants?
Comments (10)Hi Deborah, If it is a reputable company write back to them explaining that the ground is still frozen and see what they suggest. If it is not a reputable company, you will have to do a triage. Dormant trees are usually shipped bare root and can be healed-in until you can plant them. Bulbs will need to be planted soon since they will be breaking dormancy. Other plants can be potted and either set outside if they are hardy or in a garage or some other cool place with light until they can be planted outside. In any case keep them moist but not wet. Good Luck!...See MoreHow can I save this plant?
Comments (4)First thing I would do is fire your house sitter. It should survive if you can cut it back to white wood and the roots didnt turn into dust. I agree you should make sure its established before winter sets in if time permits in your growing season. I'm not familiar with Zone 7a but that would seem to be equivilent to NC, TN, AR, OK, etc. You may need to wish for an Indian Summer. In my climate I would give it a drink, perhaps some superthrive and then keep it in partial sunlight for a week then full sun until weather forces it inside. Comments (1)Well, think in terms of about 6-10 seeds per pod, and about 3 or 4 seed desirable large pods per plant. Only save from the biggest pods!...See MoreCan I save my prayer plant? And how?
Comments (2)I had one that had leaves that were curled up tightly, and the ones that were already open were turning yellow and dying. It was very pale and I thought I would lose it, for sure. I think mine was suffering from dehydration and lack of nutrients. I started giving it more of both and now it's a big, beautiful plant. My plant was never completely wilted looking like yours, so I'm not sure what would help. 1. That plant should never have been put in direct sun. Bright indirect light is best. 2. Make sure the pot it's in has a drainage hole in the bottom. Good drainage is important. You could be drowning it if it doesn't have a hole for excess water to drain out. 3. Give it some plant food following the directions on the package. Good luck !...See Moretapla (mid-Michigan, USDA z5b-6a)
