Entertainment center -- what to do with it?
Comments (67)I don't have a room in my house large enough to accomodate these large entertainment centers, but if I did, I would grab them up in a heartbeat, even if I had to redo/add-to the shelving. If I had huge rooms here is what I would do: *Mudroom storage for gloves, coats, shoes, boots, sports equipment, cleaning supplies, etc. *Freestanding pantry *Clothing storage in bedroom *Linen storage/closet *Playroom storage if I had kids at home *Pretty garage storage *Potting shed for garage *Pretty basement storage *Craftroom/sewing organization Again these idea only work with the proper space (which I don't have) but many folks have more room than they know what to do with and are looking for the elusive organization ideas. Some of these are pretty in their original finish, but since most are practically being given away, what a great opportunity to get creative with different paint and faux finish ideas. Sigh! Sure would love to have the space....See MoreEntertainment center dilemma, Please vote Yay or Nay on look
Comments (10)This reminds me of the customer kiosk at my office. When they built it, ten years ago, whoever took the measurements to make the form holders for the deposit slips must have just eyeballed it instead of using a real tape measure. Once it was in place, it looks good and has four different sets of slots for us to fill with forms, except that the forms are approx. 1/16 of an inch too long for the slots. It makes for a little mickey mouse exercise in frustration. You should have bought your builder a nice Craftsman tape measure before he began your project! I actually like the look of the first piece just a little better. And if that style fits all the components, resulting in a clean, cord-free environment, so much the better! Comments (4)Thank you for your input everyone! I feel much better now about the woods to mix in. I don't like the thought of all black furniture. The como bench is on sale.....I may have to purchase it! yayagal, unfortunately, we have floor to floor carpet. In our area, it seems it is the norm to put that in the living areas. Of course, all of the shows and magazines have hardwood...I would love them! My husband thought it was weird to put hardwood in the living room....he wanted it to be cozy under the feet. That is how most people here think! One day I will have my way! Thanks again!...See MoreHelp matching my coffee table/entertainment center to my sofa.
