groundcover that can outcompete multiflora rose and wintercreeper

I have an east-facing slope planted with a thousand daffodils. I stupidly planted them after clearing but not killing the invasives that were there, principally multiflora rose and creeping euonymus. Because of the bulbs and my chickens, I really can't see how I can do the usual methods of killing or smothering them now. Is there a groundcover that would possibly outcompete them? Pachysdandra? Daylilies? Ostrich fern? Some grass? The slope ranges from full sun to full shade. The euonymus is strangling the poor old apples trees. I think I have to deal with it at least in those areas, although I'm sure it will quickly reseed itself back?
