Weird question: Food coloring and syphon.
Comments (6)Fyi, I tried this out and it worked awesome. I added just a little red food coloring to the foilage pro/water solution. It was enough so that I could tell if the syphon was properly working (clear white water coming out, wasn't working ... slightly pink water coming out, syphon was working). Interestingly, the Dramm hand revolver would not work with the Syphon, for whatever reason it wouldn't pull the solution out. The Dramm AL 170 water breaker worked great (I use it with a wand). http://www.dramm.com/html/main.isx?sub=10 Bill...See MoreWeird "guy food" that's actually delicious?
Comments (15)Ann, I'm with you on the garlic powder, but it was surprisingly good. :) The whole thing heated and with sautéed garlic (in some good olive oil), would likely have been better, though I don't know at what point the quinoa puffs would have gone soggy. Probably best to get the sauce good and hot and let the puffs take the heat from it. But that wouldn't be guy food, anymore, it would just be weird. Because if you're going to sauté the garlic, you might as well boil some pasta. Whereas the whole rationale of this was that quinoa puffs (organic pure quinoa (no other ingredients)) don't taste like anything, and still don't taste like anything if they're in milk or yoghurt, so take the most flavorful thing in the fridge, add some more flavor, and voilà, yummy cereal. The crunchy bubbles added something to the sauce too, and cut the heat some. Ordinarily, I couldn't eat half a cup of arrabbiata sauce straight. :) Sometimes guy food is delicious. :) Sally and Mike, you have a point. But it really only counts if the guy's behind is propped on the edge of the sink. :)...See MoreNew, weird cat behavior with wet food
Comments (52)I wonder if you will see this 5 years later. My cat who is 3yrs old has been doing the same exact thing as you mentioned. I googled it and found your post. Ironically it is also with Fancy Feast. Salmon and Shrimp... Her and her sister eat dry food maining but I give them FFeast here and there. She usually devours it but the last few times she meows for it, dives in to the plate, eats a little then darts away from the plate like something scared her. Then she runs around the house like she just ate a bag of cat nip dives into a box and starts to claw it to shreds. When I call to her and say it's ok, whats wrong she starts to lick herself and clams down. A few minutes later she will go back and finish it... She eats dry food with no issues so I dont think it's her teeth.. They are both indoor cats. It is almost like she gets wild because it's fish? Like a hunt feeling.. I read all of these comments and I will have her teeth checked. But wanting to ask if you ever determined the issue? Did it stop? Was it her teeth? I am going to try a different can of wet food, see if she does it with that as well. It was just very interesting that your story is so similar even down to the type and flavor of cat food......See MoreOdd food combinations?
Comments (76)My old roommate was into peanut butter on hotdogs. Works well. I was tiring of ketchup at that point anyway and it made a great replacement. Still use BBQ sauce but occasionally will get out the PB if I have any. Years later I was making a burger and thought, why not? Goes great on a burger too. However it does melt and get drippy so gotta keep napkins handy. Peanut butter and bacon on toast is always good. But what doesn't bacon make better?...See Moremarilyn_c
