This is one of my favorite plants. It is easy to grow and is pretty whether green or red. I started with 4 plants, all in full sun. Here they are in bloom - the tallest is about 5 foot tall. The entire plant stretches upward and produces not very impressive flowers.

But the plant produces pups around the bottom and along the stem.

This is some of the pups, and I have a lot more spread around that landscape island. I removed the pups a little too soon, but I ended up with 30 young survivors. Two of these plants are now blooming, so I'll be patient with removing pups this time. They are greener during the summer when it is hot and wet.
