One Drive and One note.

I'm totally confused with one drive and one note. Can anyone tell me the difference? I need to move photos to one drive, apparently, in order to upload them to facebook. There are no places to put photos, it only lists documents. I also can't find a place to delete 2 documents that only contain dates. TIA

Does clicking "Add Photos/Video" or "Create Photo Album" at the top of your feed

not give you what you need?

I'm not saying you shouldn't upload your photos to OneDrive. It may be a good place to keep an extra copy of your photos as part of your backup plan.

But it doesn't seem necessary to involve OneDrive when posting photos on Facebook.

jerijen, thanks; I've visited the Antique Rose Emporium, found a lipstick-red rugosa named "Robusta" which now graces my garden. The Cadillac Ranch was a terrific stop on my XC trip about 6 years ago. I took my recumbent bike with me and biked 17 mi. to the other end of town and back, took photos of my bike with the tilted car bodies. I loved NM and AZ and vestiges of Route 66. I might be returning along Rt. 40, especially if I buy a potted rose or 2 and could therefore keep them in the car overnight, since it wouldn't be freezing yet along Rt. 40, mid-October. Any rose gardens blooming then, in OH, IL, St. Louis, Arkansas? madgallica, thanks. I will look into NY state, and you're right: I'd start on I-90 then angle down to I-80 by the time I reach the Mississippi River. There's lots of time to plan this trip, so I"d welcome more suggestions for roses to see then. Carol

I suspect he does this when you're not around because he knows he's not supposed to be doing it. He may also be doing it because he's on the wrong side of the fence, and it's just easier to do it where he's at than returning to 'his' area to relieve himself. You may want to put a pad in the forbidden area as well, since he seems to be able to get to it. That being said, I don't like pee pads and wonder if he was trained to the outside before you got him. You didn't say. If he was, and you are using pads, you may as well say you are retraining him and he may be confused. Regardless........I hope you are taking him outside to run off his energy and letting him relieve himself there. Is that an option? Taking toys away won't accomplish anything. Reinforcing the positive is the way to train him, whether he's attention driven or food driven. You say recently but how recent is that? He may be acting out a separation anxiety or massive change of habit and environment. Have you considered crate training? This is not an impossible situation, but you may have to sort through a lot of variables to work out a useable routine and for sure you will have to invest some time and patience into the solution. The inside fence bothers me when you are not around. I have seen dogs literally hung up on them and dangling when the owners are absent.

Oh okay well you can buy them from online music stores like amazon or you can use your music cd and use it to save the music to your pc hard drive. There are some free sites online but you have to really look carefully at those to make sure it is legit. Some musicians allow free download of their music. I don't do much music on my computer and usually if I want to listen to music I use Pandora or last fm or Spotify or deezer.

Bricks too...the bad bricks make a different sound when lightly tapped together. And any glazed pottery...a glazed pot should ring when the rim is thunked with finger nail but when the tone stops short there is a flaw in it. And as for the tile with a hollow...roll a golf ball across your floor, you'll find them...i have one hollow tile in the path thru the dining room. And then there is thunk of a good watermelon...i swear it must be a lost art to hear a good melon cause people look at me odd as i am knocking the melons with my knuckle but i very rarely get a bad melon...tho sometimes those that have been dropped and cracked inside will thunk like a ripe melon, i am trying to train my ear to hear that flaw but it happens so rarely its hard to train an ear to a sound it very rarely hears.

To delete a document in One Drive is pretty much like anything else. Open the Document folder>Right click on the target document>Select delete from the appearing drop down menu.

As to where to store photos in One Drive, I created a new folder naming it Photos, and then just uploaded the target photo(s) there.

One Drive is an over-the-internet, centralized server-based storage. The initial free tranche - 5 GB, is pretty small and not all that useful in my opinion. Someone on one vacation trip taking a moderate amount of photos of what's now normal quality (5-10 megs each) would exceed that amount easily.

The lowest paid tranche is 100 GB at $7/month, which is very expensive compared to the alternatives. For example, one could buy two 64GB SD cards for $40 or less, that would give 128 GB of storage. Or a hard drive, 500 GB (5 times as much) for $50 or so.

It's true that One Drive does provide a sync and access between devices but I personally don't think that's of much value. Removing photos from a camera and moving or copying them from one storage location or device to another is simple and something everyone needs to know how to do.

One Note is a note taking program that's integrated with OneDrive for online storage and manipulation.

Thanks Snidely, for your concise and understandable explanation. Thanks, DA for your help also, was able to delete the pages. Chugger, the reason I thought I needed to use cloud was because I can't get photos to upload from my fb. page. I'm new to all this. Not a clue what I'm doing. And it seems mostly pointless. The photo and facebook thing. I just learned today how to remove posts from people I don't know. I can't find one person who I know is in my email, on facebook. How odd.

I'm using M$ photo gallery, it says I have to log in? Is that the problem with uploads?

Thanks all so much, it helps to get these explanations from all of you.

Many routers have a usb port or two that can be storage space in your home cloud. Think I paid $25 for 128gb medium speed usb drives at amazon .. SanDisk Ultra Fit usb3, the little ones that hardly stick out.
