Computer crashes at start up
Comments (3)Hi jean_mi_z5, Reports inconclusive to me. It's showing a lot of system file crashes, but those crashes can be caused by 3ed party files / drives causing the Microsoft drivers to crash and I don't see any 3ed party listed. If you're having a lot of blue screens and it appears you are, I strongly recommend you post at the link provided. Under the topic below BSOD, Crashes, Kernel Debugging Here is a link that might be useful: BSOD, Crashes, Kernel Debugging...See MoreComputer equipment and WebPage Design Question...
Comments (4)Generally, a consultant just builds in the cost of their operating expenses (including office rent, travel to meetings with clients, utilities, software, equipment, taxes, etc.) into their base rate. Charge him whatever per hour for the work, but include the cost of your equipment into it; a separate charge is going to look like you are being cheap. Since you are not buying new equipment or software, you can't expect to pay it off through this small contract. On the other hand, depending on how much a percentage of time the equipment may be devoted to income-producing work, you may be able to amortize some of the costs for tax purposes....See MoreUsing your computer to make pages
Comments (9)Kevin, what I would like is a scrapbooking program that would hunt out where the pictures are stored (or at least ask me if I'd like it to search.) Maybe give thumbprints of the pictures so it's easy to click on it to bring it onto the working page. Yeah, have part of the screen for scrapping, the other part is your completed (or soon-to-be completed) page, with the option to make it full screen. Maybe stagger the two areas for aesthetics. Include usable fonts, banners, borders, frames for the pictures - garden themes, holiday themes, baby and vacation themes, and sports -all while being able to size everything. Personally, I like the look of "layers" in regular scrapbooking. On the puter, computer scrapbooking pages look fine, but in an album, the depth is missing. Maybe you could have the option of shadowing to give the 2dimensional page a fuller effect....See MoreAnnoying ad on GW freezing up page and computer
Comments (13)NHB--the others who are more computer savvy may be able to give more pointers, but I even forget that I've changed to Firefox because to me it looks so similar to IE (other than the ads not appearing now). Yes, you can still get hotmail--I use that also. I've never used just hotmail to store my mail though, so I use Windows Live to actually receive it on my computer though that's not necessary--just my preference since I have Windows 7 operating system. After installing Firefox, you just would likely want to select your home page (as you do with IE) and personalize the toolbar so it has the menu items you use most (as you do with IE, also). I love the faster page loading time and now--this adblocking is absolutely great! If you download Mozilla Firefox and don't like it, you can always uninstall. I downloaded it, tried it first, then after seeing it worked fine for accessing the internet, I quit using IE altogether. Thanks again to gr8day for asking your question (even though that particular ad wasn't hassling me) and to the others for the tip....See Morearkansas girl
