Tomatoes 2016 – What are you growing this year?

Hello all you Tomato Growers!

I'm usually the last one around here deciding which
varieties I'm gonna grow, but this year I ordered seed for some new varieties
I've never had before–more than I can possibly grow–so I kept thinking about
which ones I'd decide to try, and today I spent a couple hours perusing the
descriptions of the new varieties and checking out the ratings I've given to
varieties I've grown in the past–and it's all decided!

Here's what I've picked!
I have room to grow 12 plants–and I'm growing 14! Well, I squeezed that many in last year, so
why not this year too!

Cherry:

~ Be My Baby Gene
Pool cherry
– red – this is the "replacement" for Sweet Baby
Girl--more info about that in a "Monsanto" thread I'm planning to
start!

~ Honeydrop
honey-colored cherry – new to me – sounds good in the description!

~ Sungold
orange – one of my Gotta Haves!

Red:

~ Beefsteak
grew this one year when I was looking for “red” seed that I already had one year,
and it’s come out pretty good every time I’ve grown it, so unless it gets
overruled by something else I’ll keep growing it!

~ Pearson Improved
– red 12 oz – new to me

~ Peron – red,
very lg – new to me

Pink/Purple:

~ Cherokee Purple
– med/lg – Gotta Have! (And hopin’ the
squirrels don’t eat them all this year!)

~ Soldacki – pink
14 oz – new to me

~ Tiffen Mennonite
– pink 15 oz – new to me

Yellow/Orange: Many of you know I love orange and yellow
tomatoes!

~ Amana Orange
orange, lg – Gotta Have!

~ Mandarin Cross
– orange 10 oz – new to me

~ Moonglow – yellow,
med – grew it last year and really liked it

~ Orange Minsk
carrot-orange, med/lg – new to me

~ Schellenberg’s
Favorite
– yellow, lg – new to me

.

Earl of Edgecombe (orange) is another one of my Gotta Haves,
but I’m out of seed—and so is Sand Hill this year!

Other new varieties I’m getting seed for (Sand Hill snail
mail!) are:

Galina’s – yellow-orange cherry

Ruby Gold – red-streaked yellow, huge

Goldie – orange 16-20 oz

Rose Beauty – yellow, med

Dester – pink “beefsteak”

I’m trying WAY more new varieties this year than I have for
a LONG time, and will wait to see how the ones I picked turn out this year and
then decide if I want to trade any of them out next year for the varieties I
don’t have room for this year. At least
I won’t need to be ordering tomato seeds again for a couple years!

I won’t be starting the seed for another 6 weeks, but I just
thought I’d start this while I was thinking about them—and am all excited about
them!

Which varieties are the rest of you planning to grow this
year? And, Jali, how long is YOUR list
this year???

Salivating,

Skybird
