Congratulations on your purchase! And good luck with the stickers. If the heat doesn't work, you could try saturating in alcohol. I hate to suggest anything stronger because it's for food. The red underline, however, is most likely for spelling (don't worry, it's not part of your post so not visible to readers). Unless Zojirushi in your browser's dictionary? It sounds like the red line kind of overflowed the unknown word, which might just mean you need to close and reopen the browser, or perhaps restart your computer.

I find saturating stickers with ammonia makes them come off easily. So there's another option. Good luck with whatever you make. Congrats!

I usually try a bit of basic oil on stubborn stickers and let it soak. Plastic coated stickers can be a pita. I keep an old useless credit card in my kitchen misc drawer for a gentle scraper if needed.

I haven't a problem with a sticker or stuck on tag recently, but when I have - there seemed to be two types glue that water and steam don't touch. Nail polish remover took care of one (acetone type remover, not the kinder, gentler type), and oil the other. I use the lemon oil from my furniture cleaning supplies.

I've used nail polish remover (acetone) to remove stubborn glue from stickers. Once I went to a Valentine's party in San Dimas where they slapped name tags on everyone as soon as they came in (I used an alias and therefore did not respond when people called that name), and I was wearing a clear plastic vest, which should never had had a sticker on it. Even the back of the sticker said not to put it on plastic. They could have put it on my shirt under my vest, and people still could have read it, even though I did not give my right name. I finally removed the last of the glue residue with nail polish remover. The party was hosted by a couple of ex-Mormon retired florists - so there was no alcohol, and I had to smuggle some Vodka in and hide it in some of the landscaping in the back yard. The party was supposed to be for firemen and policemen, but there was only one fireman there and a lot of police.

Congratulations on your new machine! My bread machine wore out after a year, and I never replaced it. If I had bought the same machine as yours, I would still be using it.

I'm a GooGone fan too. Sometimes it takes a couple of applications: one to loosen the paper of the sticker and another to soften the adhesive. Then, I just drench a bit of paper towel and rub the sticky residue off. If necessary, I'll finish off with a Mr. Clean eraser to remove any stubborn residue. It'll be tricky because the stickers are on the sides, but eventually you should triumph.

Hope you enjoy the breadmaker. Along with all its other features, it's got a "shape" feature that allows you to remove the dough, create braids or another shape, and then place the dough back in to finish rising and baking. Have fun!

Goo gone is pretty much crisco....which works on stickers....as does lighter fluid...you know the stuff you used to put into your Zippo but now can be used for candle lighters?

Didn't get anything made in the Zo today or tonight. Spent time getting seeds started for the garden, put together my 2nd small indoor greenhouse and had tons of phone calls. Will get it done tomorrow. I did get all the printed stuff read and listened to the DVD. Also tried rubbing alcohol and when that didn't work, peanut oil to remove those side stickers. Nothing. The outer layer came off without either, but the inner layer of paper and the sticky just sat there and laughed at me. Couldn't hear them laughing, but know they were. Tomorrow I'll make up a batch of Goo Gone from the website you suggested, Bumblebeez. Thanks for posting it. Lars, maybe it's time for you to give another try at the Zo. It gets such rave reviews on here and it may still be on sale on Amazon.

Madonna, I had a Panasonic before - I have not yet tried a Zo, and I think I would like it, but I really do not have room for it. I have a new (red) Kitchenaid mixer, and I've been using that for bread dough. When I had the Panasonic, it did not mix the dough sufficiently, resulting in uneven loaves, and so I had to mix the ingredients before turning the machine on. It was good for making pizza dough, however. Eventually I was doing so much of the work before putting the ingredients in the machine that I felt I should just make the dough in the mixer. If I could have thrown the ingredients in (and I never throw ingredients) at night, set a timer, and had bread in the morning, it would have been worth it, but it required too much babysitting.

I have a new Pullman loaf pan, and I've been using that for my sandwich bread.

If I find a Zo in a thrift store, I will definitely buy one, however, but it will have to live in the garage with my blender, crock pot, turkey roaster, fish poacher, etc.

Well, my first loaf in the new machine will be done in about 10 minutes. As some of you reported, it will be a little lopsided. I noticed when all the ingredients were originally incorporated and it was preparing for the first rise that the left side had less dough than the right. In fact, while it was still mixing, there was less dough around the left paddle than the right paddle. It doesn't really make a difference. This loaf is for me and any other loaves will be baked in the oven so I'll be able to keep them equally shaped.

Lars, I'm fortunate enough to have a shelving unit in my laundry room where I store a lot of my appliances when not being used. I did have a cabinet in my kitchen that was made for a microwave and I just kept my old bread maker on it 100% of the time. The Zo fits on it with plenty of room to spare so it will be out all the time.

Madonna, when I get a lopsided loaf, I mumble excuses and sort of hang my head in shame. Then my husband tells me that it doesn't matter. The fresh bread smells good and will taste good. Really, that's the truth. In fact, having one slightly mis-shapen side is a perfect excuse to cut big slices from the weirdo side and eat them up quickly to hide any evidence of less-than-perfection baking.

I am here to tell you that "ugly bread" tastes every bit as good as "beauty queen" bread...
I always get to eat the ugly bread....as I usually save the Beauty Queen stuff for gifts.
