Online Site for Bathroom Vanity Tops
Comments (3)We just finished remodeling the kid's bath. I ordered the vanity top from e-counters.com and I could not be happier. It's Blanco Maple silestone with a Kohler Caxton undermount sink. They frequently have 20% off sales and the sink and shipping were included. Total cost was right around $800 for a 56" top and sidesplash. The only worrisome part is that you have to give them the measurements so make sure you measure carefully. Here is a link that might be useful: E-Counters website...See MoreAnyone buy a vanity online?
Comments (4)I bought two antique sideboards on ebay to convert into bathroom vanities. Both had marble tops. The more expensive one of the 2 got here in absolutely perfect condition, it was extremely well packaged. The other one arrived with the marble top broken, but it was the fault of the seller for not packing it well enough. It all comes down to the seller, and their feedback. My personal feeling is I don't buy things from sellers with less than 99.5% feedback, unless either the negs are more than a year old, or it's one or two negs from a relatively new seller. On the other hand, the second vanity I bought came from a fairly new seller with 100% positive, he just didn't have a clue how to pack something to be shipped to Hawaii. But since I got the piece for only $400 including shipping (birdseye maple french commode with bronze fittings), I didn't complain. :) The carpenters made a new wood top for it, and nobody knows the difference. Here's my $200 (plus $200 for shipping) ebay steal:...See MoreHas anyone bought sinks or faucets online??? Please help!
Comments (52)fwiw...some cheapie hints... Home Depot online can be accessed through EBates, which gives a little rebate for the referral. Go to Ebates first (have to register), then go to HD. Some of the other online kitchen stuff companies are also available through the Ebates internal referral service. I got a $35 refund check from them one month. I wish I had known about Ebates before I spent big bucks on two cast iron sinks and two faucets through HDepot online. Look for online codes and/or holiday discounts from the various vendors. You'd be surprised what are considered "holidays" by the online companies. Mayday might be a 10% off day, that kind of thing. I know that "Black Friday" after Thanksgiving was a good discount day (actually the entire weekend and the Monday afterward) and even April Fool's Day had a discount for some vendors. Often the home web page for a company has today's discount code listed on it. I've sometimes emailed the company on the "contact us" and asked point-blank, "Is there a discount today or in the next week which I need to type in when I buy online?" Often they give me the info. Or they tell me to register for their email newsletter so I can snag the upcoming code for the next "sale." At least that tells me that there is a sale coming up....See Morehelp!! granite meltdown!! please help granite experts!! anyone!!
Comments (15)If you don't love it, keep looking. I can't judge the color of the cabinets with the stone because they aren't in the same picture. You really need to see a sample of the stone with the door samples in your kitchen to see how they play off each other. My monitor is showing your cream cabinet as yellow with green undertones. You should love your choice, not be freaked out by it. Keep looking. :)...See Moredrav2012
