Finally found my Light.but
Comments (16)You're fine with the lamp that you just bought. Nobody wants a metal halide under their bed, ceramic or otherwise. I'm still curious about the tent, though. How is it containing the light, is it opaque and white or reflective on the inside? Don't be fooled by the improved colour rendition of the ceramic metal halide. Its "full spectrum" is still very spiky (although marketing material often "tones down" those spikes in graphs they produce), especially the main yellow-green and red emission lines which are pretty close to the phosphor emissions in a triphosphor fluorescent. In the ceramic metal halide those spikes overlay a much wider emission in the blue-green part of the spectrum, where a triphosphor fluorescent has another sharp spike in the blue. Overall, you can compare the "spikiness" of a light source by looking at CRI, which is a measure of the smoothness of the spectrum. Standard triphosphor fluorescents and standard ceramic metal halides have virtually identical CRI values because they have remarkably similar spectrums, hence any claims for performance of must apply to the other. Or you can just look up the graphs on the web. Comments (7)Hi Flyleft, we saw this on Craigslist too, and are planning to use it for the floor in the master bath, we are also in PDX. I've got a call in to them to find out if they have it in a matte black. We have been pricing locally and it usually runs $9 retail per sq. foot around here, so this is really a surprising price, not just a northwest "perk"....See MoreAdvise me on tire size, found a good deal but?

Comments (29)Got this not-pretty microwave cart for DD’s new apt., which has a wonky kitchen with no counter space. Free! I removed the handles and replaced them with chrome handles, and covered the drawer fronts with floral print peel & stick wallpaper that I had leftover from another project. Total cost, around $7. Sorry, I don’t have an ”after” pic. Also from our local Everything Is Free FB page, I got her basic white bedroom curtains and curtain rods, and two kitchen chairs. We are hoping to find some bargains on the local FB Marketplace when we are up there next week. She gets the keys on Mon…DH and I are staying for a couple of days to help. I am not ready for this but apparently she is!...See Morenumbersjunkie
