Odd problem with tomatillos - only one plant producing fruit

Hi there. Curious problem, I have three tomatillo plants next to each other in a big container. I grew them from seed and they have all been treated identically. The weird thing is that only one of the plants is producing any fruit. I could understand if none were fruiting but to have one that is setting fruit while the other two are just enormous and continually dropping flowers seems odd to me. The two that aren't fruiting (on the right) are much larger and have thicker stems and darker leaves. The fruiting plant is smaller and more spindly. I wondered if anybody might be able to explain this? I thought maybe tomatillo plants could be single sex but have read elsewhere that this is not the case. Does anybody have any ideas...?
