where is it located? If it's anywhere near garden/outside I'd suspect snail/slug activity.

my jades drop leaves cleanly, they don't get scars first. Sunburn & yellowing leaves are all over not one spot. Bigger animals/birds take bigger bites on every other edge except at stem

I've never seen any kind of droppings and with 2 dogs in the house I can't imagine it wouldn't be spotted. Also, it's really a tiny pot so I think it would get knocked over.

Could mites do this kind of damage? I've been losing several succulents lately and it's really upsetting me.

It looks like small insect damage to me, not sure what it is or what to do though...

I guess you could try a pesticide for succulents, but I would read up on it before you do anything.

I took some plants out of the pots and washed the leaves really good with dish detergent and blasted them and the roots with the sink sprayer.

No afaik mites only pierce the leaf and suck the juices, leaving yellow spots where they've been... and mine seem to prefer easier prey, jade leaves must have too thick skin :)

ive found slugs in my pots before... and they're on balcony 3 storeys up! Might've had eggs in bagged potting mix &/or dropped by a bird :(

Don't be in any hurry to repot after its bath :) you can leave them barerooted for weeks & they'll be fine.

Well, I do not think it is mites, but rather a sort of boring insect, thus the holes. Those are simple to take care of! Just plant a Venus Fly Trap in the same pot, and it will eat that naughty bug! (JUST KIDDING)

On a more serious note, I think you did the right thing by spraying it off, I don't know, but it may be a beetle of some sort. I would Google Jade plant pests, and just see what comes up.

Monica, looks like Scab to me. When this happens I use an insect killer and it solves my issues..)

Thanks Mike. I used insecticide which I guess the scabs were too tough for.

i lost all my Jades :-( and I had to spray and cut back some of my Hoyas. I lost a couple small ones of those too. :-((

I also think I have an issue with mites/scale on my citrus trees which are in a totally different area of the house.

I don't know what's going on!

ive added a cool mist humidifier and fan in all rooms. I'm hoping that will help.
