Linear drain in the center of a curbless shower OK?

I am planning a curbless shower that will be 4' x 6'. The showerhead is on the 4' wall and I was planning on running a linear drain on the floor along the center of the 6' axis. Both sides of the floor would be sloped at 1/4" per foot towards the drain so the floor would have a bit of a V shape.

But I've just read that the floor of a curbless shower should only slope in one direction. Is that so?

Will this be OK or am I better off with putting the drain up against the wall on the 6' edge of the shower?

I feel like when you're standing in the shower the V shape will be more comfortable than having the entire floor be at an angle so that's why I planned for that.
