Didn't have a working stove for 4 weeks during the holidays.

We were without a working stove for 4 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We were told by the now departed manager that we would have our rent reduced by $100 for the inconvenience, but it never happened. Now, the small complex we live in has been bought by new owners and there is new management. What can we do to be compensated for not having a stove (especially during the busy holiday season). We were basically reduced to meals that could be microwaved, not heated at all, delivery or eat out. I should have asked while we were going through this and made some documentation of dates, how many times we called about this, what the manager at the time told us, what the maintenance guys told us etc, but...I didn't.
