Susan, that is a lot of snow. We got maybe an inch here about 30 miles north of Pittsburgh.

Birdfeeder Man taking care of the birdies. Notice he has no gloves. No wonder his hands are cracked and bleeding. It does get him out of washing dishes however!

We're on the periphery of the storm and aren't expecting much snow, although it looks fairly serious at the moment--and the wind keeps blowing it onto my porch.

Moni, I'm glad you explained. Loved the manatees I used to see in Florida. Poor things, often cut by boat propellers. I hope something has been done to eliminate or minimize that.

Interesting that they had to make fists. We had to keep our hands flat with the palms facing in. I am sure that some of those folks are making a tight fist and that might add to the stress of this event. Believe me, it was stressful (San Diego in August), but also a relief that we all got through it.

The snow is so, so beautiful, but I am most grateful that this storm passed me by, though not by much!! Alisande, your deer looks like you sprinkled powdered sugar on it!!
