A few drops of candle wax won’t ruin your carpet completely. And probably you don’t have to replace your carpet once you know how to get candle wax out of your carpet yourself. The longer the wax stain stays, the more difficult it gets to remove it. As soon as you notice the stain, fill a plastic bag with ice cubes. Lay the bag of ice directly onto the affected area and let the wax freeze for some time. Remove the bag and try to scrape off the wax. Lay a clean cloth on the affected area and use a warm iron to press the top of the cloth. You can repeat the above step with a fresh cloth until the wax residue disappears. Using an at-home carpet cleaning solution, scrub the area to remove any remaining wax residue. Hello, I read your post and use to buy & sell Party Lite candles. I stopped using them when I found out that Party Light candles are not all made here in the USA which we did not like since we had no knowledge of the quality of the materials used in making their candles. We agree, Party Lite had a nice scent throw but the soot is far too much for our liking. We couldnt help wonder what it was doing to our lungs. So to find a healthier alternitive to burning candles, Many years ago, I became interested in making my own candles. I have sold them in my own retail locations for years. I have made all sort of candles using many types of waxes. Overall (next to beeswax) we prefer soy wax. There is no dispute that soy wax is a much cleaner wax to burn. We have had great results from our soy candles and our customers come back for more. We found that measuring our fragrances by weight, not by volume gave us a better scent throw. We also found that buying a higher quality of fragrance oil also worked well for us. At times, depending on the fragrance, we have used 1.5 ounces (by weight) of fragrance oil per pound of wax. Keep in mind, wax is like a sponge and can only hold so much fragrance oil. Too much oil and you can get the opposit effect and have a poor scent throw. It is important to mix the fragrance oils very well to make sure they bind to the wax. Without aggitating, we mix ours for about two minutes. Hope this is helpful. Debbie

I tried the candle warmers that everyone is so crazy about, and I don't like them for the same reason you stated- for some reason the scent seems to burn off, no matter what brand it is, even one of my own, and you are left with a bunch of weak smelling wax. Whether "rebatching" the wax would work or not, I don't know. Since it will already have some oil in it, it may not hold much more fragrance. The wax would have to be completely melted and then the fragrance oil stirred into it quite well- just like making a candle from scratch. Then the candle would need to set up and cure for about a week. Feasibly, you could have a brand new candle or you could have a flop. You may want to consider using fragrance oils in water on the candle warmer. I know people that do that. It is essentially the same as an electric or tea-light fragrance diffuser. The people I know just put the water in something glass and heat resistant (like a coffee cup) and add some fragrance oil, and let it heat on the warmer. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Here's what I've discovered about palm wax. Since it has a higher melting point, I had to use a larger wick to get a decent wax pool. I also experienced the lack of scent throw and ended up using about 2 oz per pound. Palm wax makes pretty candles but regular pillar (paraffin) or container (soy) wax might be easier ... especially if you're new to this.
