A few drops of candle wax won’t ruin your carpet completely. And probably you don’t have to replace your carpet once you know how to get candle wax out of your carpet yourself. The longer the wax stain stays, the more difficult it gets to remove it. As soon as you notice the stain, fill a plastic bag with ice cubes. Lay the bag of ice directly onto the affected area and let the wax freeze for some time. Remove the bag and try to scrape off the wax. Lay a clean cloth on the affected area and use a warm iron to press the top of the cloth. You can repeat the above step with a fresh cloth until the wax residue disappears. Using an at-home carpet cleaning solution, scrub the area to remove any remaining wax residue. sure you can add any color of wax, just matters as to what color you want the balls to be, I am only guessing as I dont measure anything when makeing these, but say you melted down a pillar size candle, remove from heat add a teaspoon of scent stir well pour out on a wax paper covered cookie sheet, roll styrofoam ball in wax turing ball to cover till covered, let set and do another ball, keep going till you have used all the balls you want to or the wax hardens, you will need to remelt, add more scent, and roll all the balls agine, maybe do this three times each or till you like the look, if the scent doesnt smell strong enough add more, each time you melt the wax. sorry not good at giveing instructions, you can make these with joint compound also if you dont like useing wax, heres a old post that can explane about that method. hope I have helped oddie Here is a link that might be useful: snowballs

Hello, I read your post and use to buy & sell Party Lite candles. I stopped using them when I found out that Party Light candles are not all made here in the USA which we did not like since we had no knowledge of the quality of the materials used in making their candles. We agree, Party Lite had a nice scent throw but the soot is far too much for our liking. We couldnt help wonder what it was doing to our lungs. So to find a healthier alternitive to burning candles, Many years ago, I became interested in making my own candles. I have sold them in my own retail locations for years. I have made all sort of candles using many types of waxes. Overall (next to beeswax) we prefer soy wax. There is no dispute that soy wax is a much cleaner wax to burn. We have had great results from our soy candles and our customers come back for more. We found that measuring our fragrances by weight, not by volume gave us a better scent throw. We also found that buying a higher quality of fragrance oil also worked well for us. At times, depending on the fragrance, we have used 1.5 ounces (by weight) of fragrance oil per pound of wax. Keep in mind, wax is like a sponge and can only hold so much fragrance oil. Too much oil and you can get the opposit effect and have a poor scent throw. It is important to mix the fragrance oils very well to make sure they bind to the wax. Without aggitating, we mix ours for about two minutes. Hope this is helpful. Debbie

We use 8%, which seems pretty great with Fragrance oils. Now, with essential oils, If you got to something like 30%, you will be both dilluting the wax (so it wont burn well) and also spending a boatload on the oils. The tricky thing is, essential oils vary so much for their own throw, so 8% of one might be great and 8% of another might not do anything. Its all about experimentation, we are trying new things all the time. Connect with your inner mad scientist!!
