Creamy white cabs with bright white trim in rest of kitchen
Comments (12)Ok thanks. But here's the thing. I don't want a cream kitchen. I want white - but not stark, antiseptic white. Shiloh's polar white is just that. It's definitely creamy, but not ivory. I guess I'll have to wait to bring a sample cabinet into my home but I'm pretty set on that color cabinet (I think it'll work very well with the imperial danby and walnut countertops that I want) and I don't think we're going to be willing to repaint all the trim that we just painted!...See MoreNeed Kitchen wall paint color for Uba Tuba granite and White Cabs
Comments (8)Thanks for the compliments! The red is by Behr and it's called Cinnamon Cherry. We probably went through about a dozen sample jars to find this color. It looks a little too cherry on the sample card, but, up, it's the perfect warm study red. Funny thing, we're now going through the whole process again in search of a red for the kitchen island....! Comments (11)Thank you! They are Conestoga cabs, the blue is SW Commodore (they go off the SW colors), they really are not *that* bright. :) I'm from NY too Audrey! When it came time for the backsplash I waived the white flag financially and decision making-wise. I love the water jet cut tiles a la Ann Sacks and such. I think they would look lovely with what you are talking about. Light blue or green are pretty. If you want to stick with white maybe milk white glass in a staggered brick pattern (not subway tile, they are different sized rectangles, I think I saw them at Tile Bar) But I do love me some subway tile. ;)...See MorePlease help...what color granite for warm decor but stark white cabs?
Comments (31)Thanks for sharing the edesign information. I think it's cool she gave you 2 options. I had a local designer help me with colors in my remodel. Overall it was immensely helpful, but I was surprised to get just 1 color recommendation per room. I guess many people just want the designer to tell them what to paint, while I was looking for help in narrowing down options. A design blogger I follow advises designers NOT to give options because it makes the client think the designer doesn't know which color is right... Also re: dark counter--I had mostly settled on black granite in my kitchen, but started second guessing it. I was sure the designer was going to recommend marble-look quartz. She picked up the black sample, said "This is interesting....I LOVE IT!" Now it's in my kitchen, and I love it too!...See MoreJeannine Fay
