Need Kitchen wall paint color for Uba Tuba granite and White Cabs

Thanks to all the ones help me find my Cabinet color, now off to the wall color. Have painted samples of woodstock tan, caramel apple, and warm tan. I have Red Oak hardwood floors, sorta honey colored. Room is open to family room so the color will be in both rooms. lots of natural sunlight too! pics and suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Was wanting something on the goldish, tan side. Funny how so many tans and browns read peachy or even purple in natural sunlight, something i do not want!!

Thanks! My countertop is Costa Esmeralda. It looks darker in the picture than real life. I'm very happy with it. Uba Tuba is a great neutral and goes with so much, I'm sure you'll love it too! Good luck with the decision, paint color was a tough one for me.

I used Crown Point Sand by BM in my kitchen and I think of it as a great neutral tan, sometimes a little gold, sometimes green. I Think it would be nice with white cabs and uba tuba.

My mom has Uba Tuba granite and she painted her cabinets Behr Polar White, which is a crisp clean white and the wall color Pittsburgh Paints Bread Basket to give the kitchen warmth and pick up the gold in the granite and her cork floors. Along with that she has black mirror appliances and black knobs- the kitchen looks great and is a nice balance of black and white and color.

Wow! That looks great! You did good as they say down here in the Deep South. Your cabinets are beautiful and the granite and backsplash look great with them. My house is similar in that it is very open. A mixed blessing when it comes to paint. I had wallpaper up in the kitchen when we first moved in and thought it looked weird to have a wallpapered room hanging off the rest of the space. I repainted it several colors trying for the perfect one that would go with cabinets and the rest of the house. You can see everything in my house when you come in the front door, not sure if yours is that way. Eventually I went with a color that is very similar to the colors in the open areas of the house. After all my experimentation it looked the best. I have SW Plantation beige (an old Duron color) in the open spaces and then BM Danville Tan in the kitchen. Danville Tan is a good color to go with what you have but I am afraid that it is similar to your backsplash tile. Good luck!

Since you notice the color at certain times of day, it may have to do with the angle at which the light hits the surface. If you typically see the effect on clear days, in the morning or evening when the sun is low in the sky, then intense undercabinet lights might be a way to replicate it. In terms of sheer quantity of light, however, the sun pretty much blows artificial sources out of the water. It's unlikely you'll be able to get the same effect all of the time. Good luck.

We finished our remodel 3 years ago and I picked oak cabinets (a little lighter than golden oak) and uba tuba. The combination looks very good together. Originally, I wanted maple cabinets and saw that there was more color variation in the staining than desired. Anyway: no regrets about this decision! The walls are painted a goldish tan (somewhat like wheat). Haven't done a backsplash yet. The more I live with the painted walls which I like the slower to get tile. I've been thinking a light green or cream color in a classic style would look good. My goal is a calm, serene look. Sometimes, I get second thoughts and think about a mission or craftsman type design over the stove.

We used BM Stone House in our family room and it's a really warm color that seems like it might work for you...?!?! GL!

We will be getting Uba Tuba granite, too. We just had our kitchen painted with SW Irish Cream. I really like it. I describe it to people like this: it's tan, but not really tan. its yellow, but not really yellow. its gold, but not really gold! LOL

Thanks for the compliments! The red is by Behr and it's called Cinnamon Cherry. We probably went through about a dozen sample jars to find this color. It looks a little too cherry on the sample card, but, up, it's the perfect warm study red.

Funny thing, we're now going through the whole process again in search of a red for the kitchen island....! Ugh....
