2. Western bed take 2. I probably could have omitted this one. That is yellow and coral Shrimp Plant growing under the hollies.
   
3. They used limbed up Dwarf Burford Hollies to provide a windbreak and noon to late afternoon shade. Really important in summer.

1. The SW corner. This bed gets lots of light during winter, but shaded by those Burford Hollies during Summer.

16. The south end of the garden. That is a variegated Hibiscus. With the taller shrubs behind it, it gets a little relief during summer.

1. Closer look at Flowering Maple
   

These last 5 are of plants in their Nectar Garden, many of which I thought might go well in a Cottage Garden.

1. Jatropha growing on the northwest corner of the nectar bed. I think this one is normally a little more dormant this time of year. The warm winter has served it well.

   

2. Looking north in the Nectar Garden. During the spring and summer there is a bit more going on here.

   

3. Another view north. Many of the plants here in the nectar garden have lost their tags.

   

4. Northern stream bed of the Nectar Garden. The orange flowers are Cigar Plant, I believe.

   

5. A nice Firebush specimen growing against the south end of the Nectar Garden. For a sense of scale, that wall is about 4' high.

Very nice pics, what town is this in?

It is located in the town of Tavares in Lake County. These gardens are part of the UF Extension office there to demonstrate what's possible in our area. They have a range of different styles from Asian, Cottage (duh), Tropical, Edible, Native to many others. In the pics above you can see their Shade Garden to the south and a tiny bit of the Cacti and Succulent garden to the north. Across from the Cottage Garden is their recently revamped Handicap Accessible Herb Garden.

It is not on my list of free gardens from my botanical membership, but if I find myself in that area (cousin lives in apopka)

Thank you for sharing pictures of these gardens. The flowering maple and Wendy's wish Salvia were a nice combination.

I just wish there were more plants in bloom and more plants were labeled. Some are easy to ID, but others not-so-much. The Flowering Maple used to have an ID sign below it, but it was missing when I was there. If not for that old sign, I wouldn't have known what the tree was, though I am sure one of you would have. I will try to remember to go back down for more pictures in May/June and take more plant-specific pictures. One thing is for sure, if this were a normal year, all those Pentas plants would have been wiped out.
