Whew! This has gotten quite crazy... I currently have 7 different 'grays' on my walls right now. I had started with Revere Pewter and Edgecomb gray thinking I was pretty spiffy having made a paint decision in a snap. I had even painted small samples - but apparently, they were either not big enough or I did not view in the correct light because I really wanted a 'grayer' gray and was not happy with them after the painter painted large swaths on the walls. So this morning I purchased four sample colors. After talking to the young man at the paint store about my dilemma he had suggested a gray with blue undertones. I was not quite certain this would work and so also purchased 2 other more neutral grays (or so I thought.) The colors I painted from that expedition are: Winter Solstice/Englewood Cliffs and Harbor Gray/Galveston Gray. Winter Solstice is pretty - but comes across very blue-gray and Englewood Cliffs is *very* dark. I had read a post about grays appearing lighter on the samples and so I tried a shade slightly darker than I wanted hoping it would even out... well - that was sure a miss :-/ The Harbor Gray is pretty much a true light gray where it was painted but the Galveston was very dark - almost a muddy charcoal like color - again I had overcompensated. So, back to the store I went again and got lots of samples, took them back to work so I could take a bit more time before deciding and could get some opinions. It seems to have done the trick because I believe I have settled on two colors - Stonington Gray and Sea Haze. Oddly enough, I expected these to read a bit greener than they actually do in my rooms. Either way, I am pleased and have colors for the painter - just in time. I will try to post pictures once the rooms are painted. Thanks to all for all the advice :-) @stinky-gardener - Hello! I wasn't even going to post an answer when I read your question, because my first thought was a pale, soft green, and I figured it you wouldn't be interested in a cooler toned shade like that. Reading the other posts, though, yes, I agree wholeheartedly with the other posters. Your cabinets are really warm and beautiful, I think terra cotta would be a *lot* of reddish-brown without the needed contrast. I love Ben Moore's Silken Pine. It's just barely darker than a tinted white; a very pale green. You could also consider BM Palladian Blue at 25% or 50% saturation, or BM Classic Gray- popular because it's a very neutral, gorgeous gray. Not too warm or to cool, they really got this one right. Anyway, when you do settle on a color, you may want to do some GWing/Googling and figure out which colors in that family are popular go-to colors professional designers. I've learned that using their go-to colors saves me tons of money in paint sample quarts poor color choices.

First things first: is this an apartment style condo (multiple stories/apartments) or is this a row-house/town-house style condo? What are your CURRENT floors? These are two VERY important questions that need to be answered before you move forward with vinyl. In apartment style condos the HOA often requires NOISE REDUCTION when it comes to flooring materials. Most vinyl products do NOT allow any form of "noise abatement" underlayment (underpad) underneath them. The very few that DO allow it have limitations as to what you can use. Those "few" vinyls that allow it will allow 3mm cork or 1.2mm mass loaded vinyl underpad. And these two underlayments are RARELY enough noise abatement to satisfy HOA requirements. These undlayments are more for comfort underfoot and warmth - but not noise. My next question relates to the kitchen. Since this is a long-term home, what are your future plans for the kitchen? If you plan to updating the kitchen in the next 5 years, PLEASE do NOT renovate the flooring. Wait until you do the kitchen to add flooring. If you MUST update the flooring RIGHT NOW, at least sit down for the next two weeks and plan out your "7 year renovation plans". Make sure you put together a story board that includes colours, textures, materials, etc that the FINAL appearance will take. With this story board you will be fully equipped to move forward - one project at time. Without this story board, you will find that you will spend MORE MONEY because you will have to replace something because you failed to plan ahead. The most common problem: flooring doesn't match the kitchen renovation. Either the colour is wrong or the existing foot print of the kitchen changes and you do not have enough of the original floor to fill in the gaps. Whew! All of this out of a simple question and a single photo. Renovations are fun aren't they?

I would make sample boards of colors you like that you can move around in your space and your light. Trade winds might look really blue in your space. I see your cabinetry as very warm like your current paint, while the gray furniture as cool. For that reason, I like the Accessible beige suggestion. Consider going neutral with more color in smaller space like powder room?
