Jade tree (Crassula ovata & arborescens) as bonsai ... pics
Comments (72)Hi Ben.. I live in a 3rd story apartment in London Over the past few years I have been growing some Crassula to provide partial window screening.. My original plan was to have them shaped something like African savannah trees. It has sort of worked.. Although not strictly savannah like, this one has turn out best I think.. One problem I have is the older leaves tend to fold down, which is not bad, but not so savannah like. I would prefer if they were more horizontal. Any advice on that? Great page by the way, there are many useful tips here.. Ian...See MoreNew arborescens is coming upon us:-)
Comments (8)The pink Annabelle is coming...but not for this growing season but next...keep a spot in your garden for that assuming you can find one..I expect some nurseries will start taking orders later this yr for 2010 shippments...the White Incrediball is very hard to find this season, it is new to the mkt, I can only find a few online places have this for sales - Sooner Plant Farm, Garden Crossing, and Wayside...I got my Incrediballs some weeks ago from Sooner - trade gallon size, very good packaging, size is a bit small for the container, the plants were dormant at the time, now they are sprouting new leaves, vey healthy plants...so far so good...I have looked for larger gallon size Incrediballs around, searching high and low, but the wholesale growers told me this item is WHITE-Hot this season, the supply is limited and anyone would be lucky to find anything larger than the trade gallon this season...keep an eye on these items in your local nurseries and save some spots in the garden... http://plant-quest.blogspot.com/2009/01/new-pink-flowered-annabelle-hydrangea.html...See MoreI chose pink drapes for a guest bedroom, grr!! - Need color advic
Comments (66)I erroneously selected a outwardly pink color for my attic office and when I returned home that night I hated it. My painter suggested one of BMs whites with pink undertone - Atrium white - and it was perfect. Should have checked with him BEFORE he painted as he was back changing it the next day. The point I am trying to make is that if you go for a pink, the most subtle color on a strip may end up being too much. Such was the case with my first choice which ended up looking like Pepto Bismol. Sue...See MorePink color advice needed
Comments (5)patty cakes: DD's room is currently faux finished with large pink and white stripes on one wall. I love the current color but the problem is we're unable to touch up any scratches, knicks and paint chips because it was faux finished. I've included a picture of her room. I'm clueless when it comes to paint so please be patient. Do I get white paint and add to make it pink or do you mean add a little pink to the white below chair rail? Do you have a white paint color suggestion? Should I paint the ceiling the same shade as below the chair rail? Thank you for helping me....See Morejazzmom516 (Zone 6b, MA)
