So so excited - my first butterfly eggs ever that I've seen
Comments (6)How very very exciting!!! I recall the day when I first spotted butterfly eggs on host plantings. It's just thrilling! If you want to bring them into a container to raise them, you probably already have something on hand that would work fine. They are easy to raise, and the caterpillars are quite beautiful. They will eat Dill, Fennel, or Parsley, and it is critical to be sure that whatever you buy has not been sprayed with insecticides. If you leave them out there, it is highly likely that they will be consumed. Only 1% of butterfly eggs make it past the egg stage. I would be happy to speak to you about how to raise them. Just send a private message if you'd like to have some individual help. :o) Angie...See MoreI'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so excited!
Comments (11)That's great news. I am happy for you especially since your son is military. No matter how any of us feel about the war, we appreciate our military people. We spent many holidays alone. Because of the parents and step parents issue, I decided what ever day my children could be with us was "the" holiday. The Christmas my oldest granddaughter was four, they were stationed in Abeline. We lived in San Antonio and my son's father lived in Kingsvile and my DIL's mother lived in Robstown. The kids had their Christmas at home and then drove to SA. The next day we had our Christmas. The day after they drove to Robstown and had Christmans at my DIL's mother's house. They went to my ex's on Christmas morning and had Christmas. Soooooo,my granddaughter got up the day after Christmas expecting it all to happen again. She was a tad disappointed....See MoreIs this weed? I was so excited thinking it was my fig

Comments (27)What's a jaunty angle, pray tell? As for cleaning help-add me to the list of those who will give up pretty much everything else as long as I can keep my wonderful housecleaner! I vividly recall being at home alone on a Saturday when I was still working FT, cleaning toilets during my precious free weekend time while the rest of my family was out enjoying the day. Luckily I found my cleaning goddess ~8 years ago. Never looked back and when I retired and moved an hour away, I upped her pay and she agreed to keep coming to the new place-whew. She is one of those professional, career housecleaners who seems to have a passion for cleaning. Same with my housekeeper, she leaves the house sparkling every other week including always finding something to spiff up that I don't expect or ask her to do. We just started demo on our big remodel this week. So for the next few months we are living in our "honeymoon suite" AKA the 1/1 apartment on our first level while the entire second level (4/2) is gutted and will be rebuilt. Since there's really not enough for her to do to warrant coming regularly I'm giving her paid vacation days for the duration and she's worth every penny!...See Moreluvncannin
