Jamie and family, you are in my special thoughts and prayers.Just to share with you,my Mom and I shared a special love for birds.The day after she died, I was sitting on my back porch and a beautiful Ospry came and sat on the fence right in front of me.I had never seen that bird before and never saw it again.I knew that was message from my Mom.When I see an Ospry now, I think of Mom.

Are you sure it wasn't there when you left the hospital? The problem with things like this is people walking next to a vehicle will rub with purses, keys clipped to the belt, strollers, carts, briefcases, backpacks, wheelchairs and any number of things. My poor van is getting more than its share of dings from parking lots. It's too bad when you have a vehicle in good shape and this stuff happens. Some are so oblivious to their surroundings they don't even know that they did it. The police could take a report but it's only going to be a file it to make the complainant happy since there's not much they can do. Problem is you really can't prove when and where it happened so short of someone admitting they did it, it'll be like any number of other vandalism hits. And before calling your agent, check to see what it'd cost to fix to see if it's worth it considering the deductible. Have a safe and happy trip. Much nicer weather for traveling now.

Thanks Seniorgal! I don't think I have time now to use the slow cooker, but I'll keep that idea for the next batch of ribs. I have more in the freezer. I think what I'm going to do today, is put a dry rub on the ribs for the BBQ and while they are cooking, I'll do cabbage and potatoes, carrots, etc, in chicken stock on the side burner of the Q.

Hey Patti and jasdip, thanks. It is not the OK air, LOL. I stay very active I guess, I'm a lucky one, I've never had a weight problem. If I had fatter cheecks it would be nice, maybe my wrinkles would fill in. Hehe

Thank you and Happy New Year! I have been a long-time member of this family, and have had the honor to meet many KTers in "real life". They are even better than you would imagine!! Each one will always have a place in my heart.

Thank you for a lovely New Year gift, Rose.

I, too, have met a number of KT friends in person and have enjoyed those visits and the people involved.

One was to be near me and on the day that a bunch of old guys of a weekly coffee hour at church were to take their wives out to dinner to close off for summer, and I wasn't committing until I found that a gathering in town with several KT friends (instigated by Nita AZ) was at a time which wouldn't conflict ...

... and several couldn't understand how one could be so committed to a meeting with a cyber crew that one was willing to miss a special gathering of face-to-face folks to be with them.

Good wishes go with a hope that you may have a gloriously happy, healthy and reasonably prosperous New Year, Rose, enjoyed with loved ones and friends.
