Is this black dress ok for summer formal wedding?
Comments (33)As I remember it, according to the old rules, White Tie is more formal than Black Tie - it involves white bow tie, tailcoat and top hat - or at least it used to.. and full length gowns with hair up, jewellery and long gloves for the ladies. Black Tie for men just requires a dinner suit (tuxedo in the US) and black/dark bow tie, with cocktail length dresses for women. Whether any of this is known of or observed in 21st century California, I couldn't say! Here's a quick primer on the White Tie thing......See MoreAngel Gowns and wedding dresses
Comments (30)natesg, here is the message they sent me. I think it’s a generic one they send everyone: “Hi! We would gratefully accept your donations. You can drop or mail to.... "Angel Gowns-Capital Region, NY" c/o Latham Ford-Attn: Tom S. 637 Columbia St. Ext. Latham, NY 12110 We ask that you remove the dresses from any packaging/preservation boxes, etc. and also remove any crinoline linings. If you would like to help our group with processing your gown, we could really use pre-paid Visa cards to use for shipping. (They can be ordered through our Amazon wish list link). Our ladies all buy their own ribbons, threads, buttons and supplies unless I can get them donated, so another option would be a small denomination gift card to Joanns or Walmart, if you are so inclined. The Amazon link is at the top of our Facebook page and that shows some supplies we are in immediate need of and if you choose, you can donate through that link. We cannot accept checks. Again, this is just an option and you are not under any obligation. (If you need an acknowledgement of us receiving your donation, please include a self-addressed-stamped envelope and we would be happy to send you one). Thank You again for your generous donation. Please "like" our public Facebook page...."Angel Gowns-Capital Region, NY" and you will see the lovely work that our team members have done. One day, your angel gowns will appear. Our local team is blessed with all unpaid volunteers who have found this their "calling" and we consider this our special ministry for the families who are so deserving at this sad time in their lives. Be well and know that you will touch many hearts with your kindness. God Bless You!” Hope this helps. JO...See MoreLive in FL and want to wear a sleeveless dress to a PA winter wedding?
Comments (39)This navy dress at Nordstrom Rack is nice (and cheap). I live in Florida and would wear this on cooler days/evenings here December-January. This might also work up north for a wedding. It's lined. I like the neckline. Add a long necklace with pendant or dainty choker. Don't know your size. The smaller sizes are sold out. Starts at 10. Maybe it's on another site. https://www.nordstromrack.com/shop/product/2542280?cm_mmc=feeds--adlucent--google-_-pla&utm_source=adlucent&utm_medium=feeds&utm_content=google&utm_campaign=pla&utm_channel=shopping_acq_p&sid=545650&aid=%5BADL%5D%20%5BPLA%5D%20%20-%20Categories%20-%20Non-Brand%5BMobile%5D&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzrm-l8KN3gIVkEoNCh1vNg0-EAQYBiABEgKRTfD_BwE&color=NAVY ------------------------------- How about these? You could wear them with the dress OR jeans down here. Wouldn't go to waste! I really like these as long as they are barely noticeable metallic. Add some navy sheer tights?...See MoreAnother Wedding Dress Q: Can i make this work?
Comments (81)Thanks, Nini! I like it too.. it just makes me happy. Sorry, Mtn! Missed your recommendation for the blue. I do like them-- but here's the thing, it's not a color i wear much so I won't get much use of them outside the wedding. Also, discovered i wear a 10.5 in the Miller sandal... oops. Ruby, I love the metallic but i think it would need to be silver.. the problem is, I already have dark gray patent leather. I shouldn't get two colors so similar but wow. I think I really like the silver. WDYT?? I think i am down to nude, ivory/white or silver....See MoreNothing Left to Say
