Paint Color Help!

We are getting ready to paint our place, but also plan to sell in the next few years, so we want to keep things semi-neutral.

We currently have a navy blue accent wall in our living room and olive green wall in our kitchen (open floor plan). Our walls are a light beige. I really like this Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter color (to replace the beige), but I'm not sure if it's too grayish for our brown tinted granite or how it will look against the olive.

Any advice would be appreciated! We definitely want to keep the blue accent wall, but are open to changing the kitchen color - suggestions? Thoughts on the Revere Pewter color (I attached a pic of it against our current paint color).

I just saw that you are open to changing the kitchen color.. in that case, I would suggest painting over the olive green with a mid tone gray.

I really like the revere pewter. I did use Sea Haze (75% color) in our dining room and it is a beautiful shade. The room gets some natural light, not a ton, and it still is beautiful. It goes well with orange, brown, navy, really anything. Sea Haze has some green in it so it depends on light, furnishings, etc. I see a blue gray in our room. Sea Haze is in the middle.

I think the revere pewter will be a very nice upgrade and will go with the blue accent wall and with the brown tinted granite just fine. I would however carry it into the kitchen over the olive to brighten up the place. Nice place! Do a before and after post it will be good to see. :D

I love grayed greens for walls Seasalt is a nice one from SW. IMO nature uses greens as a neutral alot more often than gray or beige.

I've been looking at high end roofing tile websites and one of them has a color expert that made recommendations for house paint colors with their orange/brown roof tiles. Pure Performance egg is my favorite. It's not shiny but it has slip. However, darker colors do show up a smidge shinier. Which is normal because that's what colorant does but it's still not too shiny. SW's Cashmere lo lustre is my second favorite. Not as much slip as PP but I still find it pretty durable to clean. It also touches up nicely with a dampened then dipped sponge brush. Multiple thin coats, never a fat coat. Close second/third is Aura matte. If all else fails, you can touch it up. Again dampened then dipped sponge brush works best. Multiple thin coats, never a fat coat.

I think the pewter would be a nice complimentary tie in tot he navy and olive. To me, the current beige (at least on my computer screen) pops out the orange/yellow in the wood too much.

If you plan to seel in 'the next few years' your house will need to be freshly painted at that time. Whatever you do now will look old and outdated in just 2 or 3 years.

I can't see the granite well enough to make a suggestion as to what color would work best, but if you like RP use it! :-) You will enjoy now and can repaint before staging your house to sell it.
