Christmas Day...perfect, relaxing day to do some laundry!

Medium-large load of white towels. 140F (cold fill, then heated progressively to 140F). 3 Rinses. 1400rpm spin.

2 TBS. of vintage Wisk (made in Italy) powder. These were at one time Wisk tablets, but time has turned them into mostly a powder...so I just emptied every single, individual pkg. and put them into an OXO container and smashed them all into a nice, powder (I used a potato masher ;). Now I can use as little or as much powder as I need, instead of 1 or 2 whole tablets. VERY light and clean scent, old-fashioned detergent, and great ingredients.

You can hear my Miele dryer in the background....if you listen, your can actually hear how often it reverse tumbles (nothing is ever tangled, wrinkled, bunched up or stuffed). This somewhat small dryer dries everything my 8 cu ft Electrolux dryer did, due to the continual reverse tumbling. Of course large loads take a little longer than the Elux, but it does not let it's size hold it back!! :) :)

Yea, Thank You Larsi, that was awesome and I fully enjoyed it. I also actually seen suds, not to many but some suds. I've seen vids where there's no suds at all other than an occasional bubble and although I'm no washing machine expert I know enough to know detergent used in the proper amount to clean the clothes and the washer means theres going to be some suds otherwise its doubtful the clothes are clean or the washer...great video Larsi. Thank You.

Just installed a LG FL washer and it wasn't the smoothest at first. Some thoughts. 1. Is the machine attached to the base with brackets? If so, did you tighten the feet on the machine 1/2 turn or so after the brackets were installed and tightened? This puts some load on the feet and pretty much eliminates any movement between the machine and the pedestal. 2. The LG manual and others here have recommended a "tuning" of the feet. You need to loosen the locking nut on one foot, and have a wrench that you can use to tighten/loosen that foot while the machine is acting up in the spin cycle. I found it helped to first loosen it to make the shake worse, and then slowly tighten until it stops or greatly reduces. Tighten too much at it should start to get worse again. Takes some time and patience sitting on the floor waiting for it act up, but can help. I "tuned" ours with about a 11 lb load.

Grew up with the Frigidaires. Nothing like them since, cleaning or spin wise. The tall SQ agitator also familiar. Relative had one of those which you set the water level by gallons on the timer dial. Does take me back--not to mention ages you.(me)

I have not but my brother in law uses it every day for his work clothes and he loves it. LG included a cute tiny rubber cup which holds about a two teaspoons of detergent that you throw in with the load. I did a few more loads of my MIL's laundry with the WM4370HKA and don't like it quite as much as I did originally. I paid more attention to the fill portion of the cycle and it still has some water hammer issues. Also, I've only done cycles with turbo wash enabled and it does this weird spin fill during the deep rinse which kicks up a bunch of suds. I'd like to play with it a little more and try during a cycle without the turbo wash enabled to see how it behaves. I do really love the spray rinses during the spin and wish more manufacturers would add that feature to their lineups.

That's more than optimal suds but I get loads like that. I actually like seeing that amount of suds as it "seems" the clothes are really getting washed. With the really low sudsing loads I worry that they are getting a wimpy wash. But even if that were true, the nice thing is that they will just go back again.

Larsi--How many kg is your Miele? I know you said it was a med-large load of towels, but that load looks pretty small to me. I am just wondering how much it will actually hold.

@ Joel...My Miele manual shows 14.3 lbs (6.5kg) of DRY laundry. To date, there is nothing my Little Giant has not swallowed.

The rep was able to fit this thick poly-filled twin(?) comforter into the Little Giant at the local Miele Experience Center. She "threaded" it in, rather than folding it as in the manual for the W4840 comforters cycle. The machine isn't hooked up, so she couldn't wash it. But she said if it fits, it'll wash. She offered to wash it in the W3038 which is hooked up. I declined because that's not my target machine, and I really don't want detergent scent on the comforter. Could've brought my own free-and-clear detergent if I'd thought of it, I guess.

Just any FYI. Wisk made a powder detergent for a while back in the 80's or 90's. Can't quite remember when. But I do remember that it smelled and worked great.

Then it was gone never to return again. The follow-up innovation from Wisk was then the tablets.

Is it just me or does the suds level in the video seem excessive? I hardly see any suds in mine.
