you're all invited to christmas dinner at my house!!!
Comments (11)Seriously, Christmas dinner here is the day after when my husband gets home. We eat at dinner time (5 or 6 pm). If you do show up (it is an invitation, after all), be prepared for a rude awakening as the dining room table is full of brug cuttings. You will have to sit in the living room & balance your plate on your lap. Doing this puts it at the perfect nose-height for a 150 lb Newfie (who drools & will steal shamelessly). We consider cat hair extra insulation for the winter & it is applied liberally to every available surface. You will be taking a free sample with you when you leave. Those of you who are "pee shy" had better "go" before you leave home & be prepared to hold it. We have 10 cats (I do fostering & will be encouraged to take one with you when you leave) & no one gets privacy (picture all those cats watching your every move). Also please be aware that homemade means there's hair in it (& possibly worse). In other words, you were warned. LOL Linda...See MoreChristmas Dinner At My House
Comments (9)Sure. I keep saying if I ever get time, I'm going to write a book about my own & the foster care animals I've had. If you have a 150 lb drooling dog that sheds hairballs the size of tumbleweeds, you better have a sense of humor about it. (grin) Linda...See MoreMerry Christmas
Comments (11)Merry, merry Christmas to you Julia and to each & every one here on the forum! I love the pictures of the Christmas trees you all posted. Maryl, my hubby likewise leaves all the decorating up to me and gets moody around the holidays but I'm not going to be a bah-humbug along with him! I did tons of decorating, inside and out because my little 2-yr. old grandson is at the age when he can get excited about Christmas. His little brother is due on Christmas Day! We are on pins and needles to see if he will come on Christmas or not. We thought he would be here by now since his mom has been stuck at 3 cm dilated for 2 weeks and Connor was 2 weeks early. (My son & DIL are the parents to these two)....and now my oldest daughter is pregnant & living with us, so another grandbaby in June! I have my hands full with caregiving for my mom, Connor, and soon 2 more babies. I hope I can manage to keep up with all my roses, daylilies and gardens this summer! I sure do miss all the day-to-day postings and excitement on this forum and ALL OF YOU! Have a healthy & happy 2013. Celeste...See MoreMerry C hristmas/Happy Holidays
Comments (27)Debbie, Sorry your DD may not make it for Christmas, like you said her safety is the most important. Best of luck that your DH doesn't get laid off. Hopefully jobs will be getting more available in 2010. My DD is in Chicago(going to school) will be coming next week for a visit, so My Christmas will be slightly delayed! Stay warm...we had a little drizzle here(leftover from you guy's storm). We are suppose to be in the mid 70's here today, but getting a cold front by tomorrow. Missed it for Christmas day...but we will take it anyways,lol... Merry Christmas!...See Morejim1961 / Central Pennsylvania / Zone 6
