Pavers look awesome, but they will need to be sprayed often to keep the weeds out. After the weeds get too bad you will have to pull them out and reset them with clean sand... No fun.

Asphalt is nice in winter since the black surface melts snow faster, but it will need sealed and repaired at least yearly. Some companies will give a good install price hoping to have a yearly job doing that for you.

Have you also gotten a price for concrete? It will cost more to install, but there will be no maintence fees for the rest of your life.

I cannot recall seeing a concrete driveway in our neighborhood. I mostly see asphalt (blacktop) driveways and a handful of paver drive ways. I am starting to see more and more paver driveways though.

Some other houses in the neighborhood had a paver driveway recently installed in the last few months. It looks really decorative but that's while it new.

I've seen some other houses with paver driveways that are a few years old and some have started bulging, sinking, become overlayed with weeds and also seen them with intricate line of moss as well.

It seems either an asphalt or paver driveway would need some kind of maintenance, but I'm going to make the assumption that asphalt is easier to maintain.

Pavers might add additional tax to property. A lot of people put down asphalt down instead of concrete because it is considered temporary and doesn't affect your taxes. Something to keep in mind.
